Tombola

Cards are very nice and will last long time. They are made from thick cardboard like material. Very nice quality set. The package was sealed and we are pleased with the game. The only problem we had was when I opened the box it smelled very musty and looks like there is a mild mold problem on the inside of the box. I’ve kept it open to air it out but it still smells. The game itself is very well made. We used it during the holidays and had lots of fun on New Years Eve playing Tombola. Love that there are 24 cards so everyone in our family could play along. From the youngest 6 year old to the oldest 75 year old. Great fun and memories.

I have read lot of negative reviews about this, looks like they seriously improved and corrected themselves from the feedback. All the contents were just perfect, build and quality were of high standards, no missing numbers or cards and chips. I highly recommend

I love this game, it is so perfectly made and the colors are vibrant also good quality materials. It is made with love. It is an italian tradition to play this game on holidays like Easter and Christmas, Thanksgiving etc. It brings back great memories. Love it and highly recommend. Older Italians from the 1920's to 1950's would love this game especially that they would make their number chips from little pieces of wood and regular paper for the number cards and would use homemade cookies or nuts to win an edible prize haha. Awesome!!

Growing up in Italy and then the United States, Tombola was a tradition unlike any other. After the terrific traditional Holiday meals, and desserts, the Tombola game would come out and we would line up our quarters to purchase our individual cards, 25 cents each. The money was divided into 5 prizes, with the final one being the grand prize. Ambo - 2 numbers on a single horizontal row Terno - 3 numbers on a single horizontal row Quaterna - 4 numbers on a single horizontal row Cinquina - 5 numbers on a single horizontal row Tombola - the whole card has been filled The younger you were the more significant winning anything was! What I love about the main card is the the fact that each number has a specific Italian expression for the Tombola caller to use. When you speak Italian, these number expressions are funny, superstitious or historical in meaning. They lead to a lot of laughter and keep the number calling amusing. If you don't speak Italian you can still make it amusing by translating the expressions into English.

Box was sealed and when we opened the game the box was moldy and there were bugs inside. All of the wooden pieces are covered in mold and bugs. Many of the boards and main playing board also have mold and the smell is intense. Very disappointed, especially since this was a gift to our host daughter from Italy.

Playing cards are very sturdy and nice, two sided. Wooden chips are not a good quality. Some of them damaged or chipped. But overall a good set for that price.

I was so worried about mold after all the reviews, but I opened up everything when it arrived, counted all the numbers (which are printed well, no chips or incorrect numbers), and inspected the box... and all is well. Perfect condition, good instructions, sturdy game boards and pieces. Can't wait to play this with our family!

The quality of this product is great and has no issues. The cards are very durable that they won't rip so easily. Only downfall could be to send more little caps to cover the numbers as we had to find something else to put on the numbers.

Got this delivered today and 88 is missing! Will try to contact seller/manufacturer. Otherwise board and tickets are good quality.

I bought the game for a meeting and exchange event I’m organizing. I was a little bit worried by other reviews talking about mold and missed numbers, so I checked everything as soon as the game was delivered. In my case, there was no missing call numbers. The game cards seems to be of a very good quality, but I can’t say the same for the numbers, cause some if them were not cut properly and have some small defects. This is not a huge problem for me, but if I have to be honest I expected a little bit of extra care considering the price is not so cheap. The call numbers were indeed just a little bit moldy, and the all package content smelled like mold, but fortunately the condition of the game is not so terrible. I sprayed some alcohol based disinfectant on the call numbers, all the cards and the satchel and left everything to dry on a table by the window under the sunlight, and this did the trick. The smell now has completely gone and I feel safer touching the game pieces. I give 3 stars because it does the job for me and it’s just as the game I was playing with my family as a child, but adding a small anti-mold satchel to absorb the humidity and cutting the call numbers with a little bit of extra care would have been appreciated. Nothing to say about the delivery: it was great. They delivered it way before I expected, thank you so much!

I was looking for something with big numbers, Because it is used by a seniors' support group, and this is just perfect. Pity it just has 24 cards.

The game arrived WITHOUT the musty smell mentioned in some other reviews. It's a solid game, and I can't wait to play it at Christmas! The only issue I encountered is that it didn't come with the instruction sheet, so I'll need to find a download for that.
