Great product!
This oil is fantastic! I bought this teak oil to freshen up an aged and weathered patio set (a cheap one we bought years ago). this is so much easier and faster than staining and/or varnishing! and it made the set look brand new. no need even to clean up the wood too much ahead of time -- just make sure the surface is dry and moisture free. I did a light sanding (100 grit sandpaper using a palm sander with catch bag attached) on areas that were a little rough or bumpy, wiped off the excess with a dry cloth, popped on a pair of disposable gloves and brushed on the oil using a paint brush (it helps to pour the oil into a plastic container in usable aliquots as you go). any dirt that still remains on the wood will just wipe off as you apply. super easy! I used 1.5 quarts to finish a small round table and six chairs. it turned out awesome and cheaper than new furniture!

Beautiful stuff on wood and steel.
Ok people, this oil finish contains dangerous VOC chemicals, that not only are dangerous to breath, but also absorb through your skin. Takes 2 to 3 weeks for fully cure and the smell to go away, so don't apply it indoors. You should wear an "organic vapor" respirator, as well as safety glasses and at least 3 layers of rubber glove, because this stuff can absorb though 1 layer of latex or nitrile gloves. anyway So now you have been warned... This oil finish is awesome penetrates deep into wood, and brings out the woods natural color in one application, and waterproofs the item. I use this finish on items that I want to look and feel like natural wood and take a beating. Things like ukuleles, canoe paddles, and longboards. To apply correctly you want the wood to be dry and let the oil soak in, then after 10min wipe off excess. Also If you have raw steel you can use this stuff to make a protective layer that's pretty tenacious and artistic looking.

Great for novices
Great product. We have 2 wood Adirondack chairs that we’ve had for years that were losing their protective seal so I used this finish to give them weatherproofing again. I went very heavy and some spots got more finish and more shine. I want to do a second coat to have it all shiny. Easy to apply and smell wasted too bad, take your time and it’s worth it

Protective Finish
I bought and used this for an outside picnic table made of teak. I have used Watco finishes before and was familiar with and liked using them. This worked the same. After just a little prep, wipe on, wait a bit, wipe on again, wait a bit and wipe it all off and let dry for a couple days. It livens/darkens up the colors in the wood and when dry gives a flat appearance, like there is not a layer of finish on the wood. I used about 1/2 of the quart can, to finish a 6' table and 6 chairs. Since the table is outside under a porch, I expect to do this yearly, but we will see, this is my first time using this on outdoor furniture.

Easy to use
I bought the Teak oil for an outdoor potting table. Since the table was new, I didn’t sand it. I poured the oil into a small cup and started with a foam brush. The oil was very thin and easy to apply. I recommend you put a tarp or something underneath whatever you are working on. I applied a generous coat and waited about 30 minutes. I then wiped of the bench and applied a second, lighter coat. Again, I waited and wiped off residue. After a week, the table looked good, but I decided to put on a third coat. I’m glad I put on the third coat and would do it again. I won’t know how well the oil works for some time but right now I am happy with the results. NOTE: The foam brush wore out before I finished the first coat, so I used a small piece of cloth to apply the remainder of the first coat and the entire second and third coats.
