Impressed so far!
I've only had this for a few days so I can't be sure of long-term use but so far I'm very impressed. It came nicely packaged with very little space wasted in the Amazon packaging. The box and paperwork are very professional and the hub itself looks very smart in my setup. I wanted to get a USB hub with on/off buttons because I have an ancient set of speakers that I want the power to be more easily accessible to turn off and this little hub definitely does that quickly and easily with very little fuss. I like the lights that indicate when a port is on or off and I like that the buttons are toggle switches which means they stay in the on/off position even if you turn the power/PC off and, as they stick out a little from the hub body, it is quite easy to tell when a toggle is on/off if the lights aren't clear enough. I have only 1 fast-charge port which absolutely lives up to its name. I have just plugged my [branded fitness tracker] in to see if it makes a difference time-wise and it DEFINITELY does. Hours shaved off the charge time. Very impressed!

Works well
So easy to install, very sturdy product. The lights are not obtrusive and the on/off buttons are easy to operate. This is one of the best USB hubs I have come across and use. Especially good for my usb cam as I can easily switch it on when needed (I have never liked having them powered all the time).

A well presented dud at best!
The casing is of good quality, USB sockets feel questionable when connecting devices, multiple drop-outs are a common everyday occurrence. Save yourself some time and money... look elsewhere for a USB hub. Edit: a few weeks in... realised this is a USB 2.0 unit, not 3.0 as advertised (due to poor signal quality), dropouts have increased (now with signal interference), my Mac is not happy with the constant dropouts or the intermittent funky signals it receives from this device. Make no mistake, if you purchase this device you are gambling against the odds. As I imagine everyone else did, I purchased this in order to improve my workflow... yeah that didn't work out... having to buy another one now. FYI: USB Audio Interfaces will not work through this device, Webcams do not show HD through this device, drawing tablets experience calibration issues through this device, heck even Mice and keyboards struggle to get a signal through, don't even attempt to try an external HDD or SSD through this... you may do some serious damage.

Absolutely unbelievable, almost.
This is a magnificent & beautifully poduced product. It is actually made of aluminium - extruded aluminium!! Bottons have a chrome finish & feel to be metalic. Now, I think the designers have been so dazled by their hadiwork that they have missed giving the indicator lights more thought, I should say visibility. These are set behind 1mm dia holes & are nearly covered by the inserted thumbdrivess. Use a fat drive & the light disappears. Mind you, there is a saving grace here: you can tell if a button is pressed down. Slightly larger holes for the LEDs, further to the left of the slots would make this totally irresistible. A more substantial connector jack for AC adaptor would be the cherry on top. farzad

Good usb 3 hub
At first I was not convinced as my laptop kept coming up with an error, however since then I upgraded my laptop to a gaming pc due to games and it's been working better no more error messages. Handy to have sitting under the monitor for quick access. The charge port is speedy, I have charged my mobile from it twice when I needed it close to my pc. Yes I would recommend it.

Good but the power isn't perfect
I bought 2 of these USB hubs for 2 main reasons. They were usb3 (which means much faster than usb2) and they included an external power pack that plugs into regular power socket. I find the devices work very well and reliably when devices with lower power requirements are being run through them, for example my HOTAS setup and mouse with other gaming periphery. However, when devices begin to sap more energy from these USB3 hubs, I find they tend to "reset" briefly, as if the power bank feeding them needs a second or so to kick in. The computer interprets this as various devices disconnecting then reconnecting. I have negated this issue by completely filling up one of the devices and leaving it well alone, and using this second device photod here with remaining devices... If I need to plug something temporarily into my computer, I use one of the front USB ports on the case itself. If I get a new device that requires constant connection, I'll of course continue to fill up the second USB bank, and expect a second or so loss of connection just the once.

Lots of USB Ports For My Many Gadgets
Well built and easy to use, this multi-port USB charging hub enables me to connect three hard drives to my Lenovo PC, as well as various headphones, tablet and phones. It doesn't overheat or make any tedious whining noises like me previous hub, so I'm really happy. A first class gadget charger in the house!

The light were on but no one was at home!
Arrived within timescale for delivery. Plugged in the Mains Powered 8-Port USB Splitter Data Hub and made sure all the lights were on, plugged in the usb end of cables for my 3 printers, backup HD, card reader and Bluetooth mouse - but nothing worked. As the usb mouse receiver usually flashes blue when you move the mouse it was obvious that there was no communication between the two. So will go back to my usb powered 4 outlet bits of kit which work perfectly, Have returned my 8-port hub as being faulty.
