Tachikawa Comic Pen Nib Holder(T-40) + Zebra Comic G Model Chrome Pen 10 Nibs(PG-6C-C-K) x2 Set

I needed a dip pen for my figure painting and drawing class. After looking at a ton I picked this one because it seemed like the best quality to price balance. I’m so glad I did!!! The rubber grip makes it comfortable to hold for long periods of time. The nibs pop in and out easily but hold in strong when you are drawing. The tips hold ink well and are perfect for fine details. I love how many nibs come with it, the only downside is they are all the same. It’s a very scratchy fine nib if that’s what you’re looking for. I haven’t needed to replace one yet so I wish I had more options, but that’s on me for not reading the whole description! Overall this is a great dip pen!

I'm a rookie artist and trying out better quality analog art supplies. This dip pen is incredible for drawing. The tachikawa nib holder is very comfortable and fits my big hand well. The gpen nib is fun to use and smooth once you break it in. Though if you want thinner lines you going have to get maru mapping nibs separately. Also I'll tend to use this with multiliners as well, this is really hard to get consistent lines with. I use this with Speedball Super black ink, I'm happy with the ink and pen pairing. There is a learning curve with this though, but I feel it's worth the time to get better line variety. The nibs will cut through copy paper. I would recommend getting thicker paper, like 60lb plus.

It holds a nib. How long it will last I do not know. It did not cost a lot. It is nice to hold.

This Tachikawa straight nib holder is made with excellent quality period. The ergonomic design, materials and craftsmanship are the reason why they are a reportable company. Whenever I use it I get caught up in my work because of the comfort I experience. It is definitely worth buying. I will be purchasing more in the very near future. (With different color grips so I can distinguish the nib I'm using).

I love the feel of this nib holder it is perfect weight and feels warm in my hand. My previous holder I've had for 40 yrs and my nib broke when I bought new nibs they didn't fit I'm glad I order this one at the same time. I liked it had a cap so this is perfect for all my nibs.

Holds ink well. Great lines.. nice pen. Includes a cap to help w transporting pen for urban sketching!
