Another well thought out Case Logic product that's Great for light travelers.
Really loved this case. I was a bit out of love with my DSLR. Having to switch lenses, and carying it around all day with my old pack was a pain. This bag is really well though out. I wasn't initally searching fro a "sling" style bag, but really appreciated that feature after I took it on my trip. The padding on the sling is good enough not to hurt your shoulder after several hours of use. I love products like this that are really well thought out. Little things that you dont think about such as the clip for the support strap being attached to a movable cord that has some bungie give to it was great. It makes it really easy to slide under your arm and get at your other lense. Its small enough to get into most tourist attractions. the iPad slot makes it viable as my "Personal Item" to take on the airplane. With this bag I took my roll aboard bag, and this and nothing else. I fit an iPad 4 with case plus a Nook Glowlight with case in the ipad pocket. Things were snug, but they fit no problem. The top compartment fit my Maui Jim sunglasses case plus a few accessories no problem. My Nikon D40 plus two lense fit great. I used the extra pocket in the main compartment to stow a gopro plus an telescoping mount. The Rain cover came in handy on my trip as well.

Awesome sling bag that is comfortable to carry all day.
I have used and own quite a few camera bags but this is by far my favorite. The sling is extremely comfortable with the padding on the back with great compartments. I can fit a Canon 6D w/ 24-70mm F2.8 attached and a 430EX II flash in the main compartment. The top compartment is great to hold additional items such as a snack bar, battery charger and batteries. I like the memory card pockets which makes it easier to organize your SD cards. The back pouch is rather small so an iPad fits perfectly. The rain cover which is stored under the bag is a great benefit as you won't know what weather conditions are when you travel with your camera gear. I really like this bag and I have recommended this sling to others. I'm looking forward in taking this bag to travel abroad with me later this year.

MADE FOR RUN AND GUN FILMING
This backpack is made for run and gun type of filming. It has 3 compartments built within the sling bag. The very top is made for small items like phone and food bars, the side compartment is made for a DSLR, roughly the size of an EOS 60D (for my case), with extra space for things such as batteries, mics, and or lenses. For me I have I am able to fit 1 DSLR, 3 batteries, 2 RODE mics, and an SD card pack. The last compartment is on the very back that's made for a small tablet like an ipad mini. The bag also contains 2 straps on the side to strap a small tripod, monopod, or steadicam and a raincover that's located underneath the bag. The bag seems to have a couple handles located on the bag and on the strap itself. Personally, I find it quite helpful. Overall, the bag is definitely worth the buy since I like to do run and gun filming. If you are looking for a bag that can fit a laptop or a larger tablet, I suggest looking at other bags as this bag is only able to fit a pad as big as an iPad min.

Think Twice; Lowepro Flipside 200 is a MUCH better option for actual use
Having purchased both bags and spending hours around the house packing, unpacking, adjusting, wearing, adjusting again, wearing again... these are my reflections. First, Amazon gets a 1.5 star on this one. I returned it. When I asked the Amazon Rep what the cost of return would be she enthusiastically affirmed it would be free. I was pleased, but questioned this unexpected reply and she stated, "returns to Amazon are always free." Yay! Then $6.xx was deducted from my refund. This is Not Free. I wasn't expecting free and knowing the cost would not have changed my decision, but I am royally displeased with the misinformation. I'll refrain from elaborating further, but with This, I am most unhappy. The Bag - For me, actual use of the bag is a 1 star. I am a 5'3" small-framed woman. There is No arrangement of the straps and their numerous adjustment that could make this bag wearable. This bag is simply not designed for a woman. My husband, who is 6', also found the bag to be uncomfortable. We both found the straps made you feel like you'd been tied up and swinging the bag around for access was awkward for both of us. The access is side access. The Lowepro's access is from the back (with a waist strap to access while wearing the bag) which makes it more secure. Still, I gave the bag 3 stars in the balance... If you truly want a side-sling, this would be a good choice. (Must say here that the Lowepro is convertible from Backpack to Left OR Right sling... but consider your use as the Lowepro's sling configuration is good for carrying, but not as secure for shooting). Construction seemed good. The tripod strap is adequate (not as good in placement or confidence in its attachment as Lowepro 200). I Love the built in Rain Hood (a feature shamefully Lacking in the Lowepro). Organization and compartments are excellent (maybe slightly superior to Lowepro, but Lowepro's are slightly more secure). The usable space of the Case Logic is somewhat larger than the Lowepro 200. The Case Logic is good Storage, but not actual Use in the Field.

This bag is great! Carries comfortably as a sling pack on your back, and slides quickly to the front for quick opening with either hand access to your camera. Fully loaded, I carry the following: Main compartment - Nikon D5100 DSLR with 3 lenses (10-24, 18-55, 55-300); extra SD cards Top compartment - flash unit, mini tripod, battery charger, mini flashlight, cleaning cloth and brush, remote, body cap (wallet, keys, and cell phone if needed) Back compartment - Dell Venue 8 Pro. Outer strap/pocket - Extendable monopod. The main compartment is deep enough to carry the camera with the 55-300 lens attached (8 1/2" total camera depth). Sturdy, and comes with a concealed rain cover that quickly covers the whole bag. About 1/2 the size of a typical school/book type backpack. Definitely am happy with it and would highly recommend it. Great hiking/outdoor camera bag.

Only for small DSLRs...
Doesn't fit my D810... Tried to move things around into a number of configurations and nothing worked well. It now sits in the closet unused, a waste of money. Maybe I'll give it away to a friend with a smaller DSLR...

Carry your camera always on the ready
This turned out to be just what I needed to carry my mirrorless micro 4/3 camera and two extra lenses. Keeps the camera instantly ready to shoot pictures. I put the camera on a tether made from Op/Tech straps so it won't fall to the ground, heaven forbid, should I drop it. The quick disconnect allows me to put the camera on a tripod or otherwise free from the sling-pack. I carry a remote release in the pack's end pocket, where there's plenty of space to carry other things as well. One of my standard complaints applies: everything is black including zippers, zipper pulls, straps, handles, and what-have-you. I'm considering taking the time and effort to mark the zipper pulls with a metallic Sharpie so I can find them more quickly.

I used to love this until the strap came loose
I've had this bag for around a year and I've loved it, it holds my camera with a 70-200mm lens, plus an iPad, and it doesn't look like a camera bag. However, on a recent trip one of the carrying straps came loose - it was sewn simply into the outer part of the case and the sewing detached. See the photo. It looks like there was only ever around 1/4" of the strap that was ever attached. It looks like the sewing was not enough to hold the ends of the nylon material forming the handle. Luckily I was in the back of a Tuk-Tuk in Cambodia and my bag landed on the floor and was not lost in the street or something I've used this handy strap to carry around the bag at times, but I have not exactly been carrying anything heavier than a dslr + lens plus ipad, I would not consider that I've been abusing the bag. I've loved this bag so much that I was shocked the strap would just come apart putting all of the contents at risk. I cannot recommend this bag, so I'll need to look around for a replacement
