PDP Xbox 360 Kinect TV Mount

I felt I needed to review this product due to all the bad reviews to provide some balance. I'm guessing people are more likely to write a review if they are upset...which I can completely relate to, but my experience with this product has been nothing but great. This product works as advertised and works well. Yes, it is plastic, but it's well-made, low-profile and comes with directions and several sets of screws that are supposed to cover every TV. I went to YouTube to seek out reviews before buying and found an instructional video from the company there. I had 'zero' issues and it took me all of 10 minutes to attach the mount and my Kinect to my 38" Sony HDTV. As a bonus, I got an extra foot of play space by having the Kinect on top of the TV. Before buying this product, make sure your TV has screw holes that will work (they are the screw holes that are usually used for mounting the TV to a wall mount. [...] I'm not sure I understand all the complaints about the price. Would it be nice if it were cheaper. Of course! But let's put this in perspective. You've spent at least $20 more on one Xbox game that gave you just 8 hours of game play. This mount will provide much more than that.

I am glad I purchased this item, despite some of the poor reviews. I found assembly to be super easy. Just find the correct screw for the TV [product came with a selection of four different sizes or so], put in the legs, attach, assemble the base for Kinect, attach Kinect, and you're done! I set it up in just a few minutes. The mount is stable on the TV. The item is so adjustable that it really should fit any TV as specified in the product details using a little ingenuity. NOTE: If your TV is thin/slim, then the base will fit wide. My Samsung is a few years old and may be the reason the product works better for me than some have mentioned in reviews. This product works great for my Samsung and I'm happy with the purchase. It was exactly the solution I needed for my Kinect.

Works just fine with my newer LG 42" LCD TV. The top plate is a little wide for my application leaving some "wiggle" room for the Kinect to slosh forward and backward. But, that was easily fixed by using the product boxing to "shim" the legs on the back of the TV. I'm not sure it was necessary to shim it as the device is plenty secure and won't fall off. It just made me feel better to make it a tight fit. The top plate seems to be made for slightly wider TVs. The nice thing about the mounting options is that you can off-center the device. I need my device to be off center of the TV about 12 inches (I know, not ideal!) to avoid a couch on the one side. The legs of the mount can pivot nicely to work with many situations. Another plus is screws of different threading and lengths are provided to seemingly work with any TV. I could not use the screws included with the TV as they are too short but luckily the mount came with screws that work perfectly. The product is a bit expensive but so is every other branded accessory! Expect to use a little ingenuity to make this work but it took me 5-10 minutes to install the mount for my application. I didn't bother with the instructions as they are in 8 different languages and small print but are well written with pictures for those who need instructions.

I bought this from Amazon Warehouse Deals for a lot less then retail, and if you're going to get one, I'd recommend looking for a better price then the retail price, via AWD or elsewhere. Having said that, once I got it set up on my 32" HDTV, it works well. It's not the best looking product, and the Kinect itself looks HUGE sitting up on top of a 32" TV, but it does have the desired effect - it moves the sensor further away and gives you some extra space to work with. We no longer need to move our sofa back in order to play 2 players. I give it 3 stars because while I didn't think my 32" Samsung HDTV was all that thin, this thing didn't work without a "modification". It does accommodate a 32" size TV as far as mounting the brackets on the back, although I had to use the alternate mounting point for the screws. That's fine. The main problem is that the top part that is supposed to catch the front edge of the TV seems to be designed for *really* thick HDTVs. In order to get it to work on my set I have two lego blocks, one on top of the other, jammed in there! I'll replace that with something else at some point, but for now that works. Still, two stacked lego blocks too thick? That seems crazy. If you have a genuinely thin HDTV, this probably isn't going to work at all, and for modestly thick ones, you can expect to have to do the same as me. The quality of the product is OK. the top part seems to be pretty sturdy, and with my "modification" it definitely holds the Kinect steadily on top of the TV. It doesn't really look that good and, as I noted, the Kinect itself seems much more massive sitting up on top of my TV then it ever did sitting on the TV stand. Still, I don't plan to remove it. The added space to work with is worth it. So, a tentative recommendation. If there's ever a better product released that does the same thin I'll probably switch to it. For now, though, this will do. It is worth using if your play space is limited and wall mounting isn't an option.

This item was received promptly and was easy to fit to the top of the TV. Makes playing with the Kinect very easy as the sensor is fixed in one position and cannot fall off. Very good.

Nachdem ich die hier veröffentlichten Rezessionen gelesen hatte, war ich etwas unsicher. Richtig ist aber definitiv, wenn es jemand nicht montiert bekommt, liegt es an ihm... Bin sehr zufrieden, ist zwar teuer bezahltes Plastik, aber auf jeden fall die momentan beste möglichkeit die Kinect sauber am TV zu montieren.

Richtig, kann mich meinem Vorgänger nur anschließen und muß das Teil zurücksenden. Wir haben den neuen Samsung Led-3D Fernseher 40Zoll. Das geht garnicht, könnte die Halterung nur an den unteren Gewinden anschrauben, somit ist sie absolut instabil. Schraub ich sie an die schräg versetzten oberen Gewinde, steht sie weit nach oben über. Das sieht nicht schön aus. Vorallem ist die Halterung total überteuert, ich war sehr überrascht, da ich für das Geld nur labberigen Kunststoff in der Hand hielt. Aus den Angaben hier steht leider nur, dass die Halterung auf Fernseher bis zu 60Zoll geeignet ist. Leider keine Größenangaben oder weitere Produktinformationen erhältlich, wie z.B. das alles nur aus Kunststoff besteht. Dies war auch nicht ersichtlich anhand der Bilder. Und ganz ehrlich, wer nicht ganz blöd ist, kann sich eine solche Halterung ganz flott selbst bauen und das kostet mich fast garnichts. Sorry, man bezahlt nur den Namen Microsoft-Kinect.
