Great, Bluetooth receiver set!
I was never a big fan of Pyle equipment, but this receiver set does work well! This was put in with a clubhouse paging system installation where they wanted to be able to play iphone background, music for golf outings, barroom background music, and themed events. Being able to mount the remote power supply & power supply interface near the head-end equipment is a plus. Along with the fact that standard cat6 cabling can be used between the two makes this a nearly ideal set up so the Bluetooth receiver can be mounted in a standard wall plate near point of use without having to find a local source of power (receiver is powered through cat6 cable). Bluetooth links up quickly on both android and iOS systems and the audio sounds great. I was quite surprised! In the future I will be installing more of these as the price point is quite a bit better than some of the other Bluetooth receiver units on the market.

excellent bluetooth wireless sound and easy to install
this is one great product, easy to set up, and in function. I was looking for a product to provide music through pandora from the ipad throughout the house and this product exceeded that expectation! the usb charger ports are a very nice bonus. I mounted the receiver into the kitchen island (which also gives nice access to the basement for wiring to the base station. The fact that the power is provided through the base towards the receiver is another great design decision of this product. It shuts itself off if there has been no linking for some time which I like too very much. My only "criticism" would be that the receiver is rather thick on the metal mounting plate which doesnt allow for easy snug installation with a outlet cover, nor was the mounting screw for that prepared. The other thing is the circuit board is rather larger (same width as metal penal) and the connection screws for the power/sound cable dont allow for an easy connection there, so I recommend to take for sure a plastic outlet box when mounting and a bit wider and deeper as possible for easier installation.

good but not great; audible buzz present
I have this included in my garage with the amp living in the mechanical room of the house. Pros: Bluetooth pairing works very well, volume control and skip ahead / back all work as intended. Con: Their is only one, it has an audible buzz when the device is on but no audio being sent through it. I seen other reviews referring to the buzz and I believe some solved it via grounding. I haven't gone that route yet, rather I have the power for this device and its amp on a wifi enabled socket which I shut off when not in use.

Danger -- Fire Hazard!
Bottom line: This in-wall unit is a fire hazard. I've had this in-wall unit installed for about 18 months (details below). This morning, I heard two loud pops coming from the room in which we put it. I saw smoke coming from behind the two-gang faceplate -- the room smelled like burning electronics -- and immediately removed the plate and the unit. I found that two of the capacitors had blown off the back, and the unit had mostly fried. No changes had been made to the system in 18 months, nor had we used it differently. It just catastrophically failed for seemingly no good reason out of nowhere. Before this issue, it operated fine. The range was somewhat limited and would sometimes buzz if we plugged something (like a phone to charge) into the USB ports. We mostly skipped using it, opting to use our Google Chromecast Audio to sync music, which we much prefer. I'll update everyone on my experience with customer service. UPDATE: Reached out to customer service by email with no response. I tried the Facebook route, which did get a response. After sending pictures and proof of purchase, we had the following interaction: CSR: "Hi, I apologize but our warranty is only good for a year. You may call our technical support for immediate assistance, you can contact us at 718-535-1800 and press 2 for technical support." Me: "So the fact that the unit exploded in the wall and created a fire hazard means nothing?" CSR: "It means that the unit has a problem, but as I mentioned we only have a 1-year warranty for all our unit. And it happened after a year correct? We can still repair the unit but you need to pay for the repair cost. You can call our number for further assistance." So, I called the number for technical support. I was the second person in the cue. It then announced that I was the next person. 16 minutes and 50 seconds later, and ten minutes longer than the estimated five minute hold time, the call cut out. I tried it again. I was caller #5, with an estimated seven-minute hold time. Then #4 with an estimated ten minute hold time. Then #2, five minutes estimated. "First in line" after 14:45 on hold. At 16:25, I was caller #2 again. First in line again at 22 minutes. After 25 minutes, I was able to get a person on the phone. I was told that the unit was out of warranty, but wanted pictures and proof of purchase. I sent both and the issue was "escalated to a manager." After a total of 36 minutes, I was told that the unit was out of warranty and no exceptions could be made. I've purchased about $500-$1000 of Pyle products for a couple of different installations. I have learned my lesson and will not make the mistake again.

The Best Way to Extend Audio
This little device is a genius invention! We used Cat6 cable to connect the wall control to the audio output 50 feet away with no noticeable decrease in audio quality

Be prepared to drill and tap your owns faceplate screws
The product worked as advertised and setup for my particular situation was easy with the exception no 6-32 face plate screws I had would fit the thick chassis of either side of the device. In fact I broke 2 screws off trying to ease them in with cutting oil and had to get creative with vice grips to get them out. I ended up drilling them at 7/64 and using stainless screws to cut the thread as I didn't have the correct tap with me. I have never found a face plate that mounts with under a #6 size screw. I inquired with tech support over their webpage submission and never heard back even 12 hours later at this moment. I have grown to despise Pyle from bad experiences years back and had this not been the "only" available option for an in wall BT receiver I could find over the course of two weeks, I wouldn't of even tried. I just hope the device lasts beyond its one year warranty and doesn't have a tendency to burn up in the wall. User beware that there might be more to this than just "plug-n-play"

Great to connect a remote, indoor receiver driving outdoor speakers to Bluetooth.
Was looking to allow my guests to connect to our outdoor patio speakers driven by the zone 2 function of our media room receiver and play their own music. This product seemed to be one of the few that would fit the bill and give us the ability to let people connect to Bluetooth over distances. This product won out over the Monoprice offering simply by being in stock when the Monoprice offering was not. In addition, both units of the Pyle device are in-wall (with the output device needing a wall wart), versus the competing offering requiring a separate external box and a wall wart. Not a hard choice there. In practice, this item has done exactly what we needed - allowed our guests who do not have HEOS to connect to our receiver and play their own music over our speakers. Not sure how long this will last being mounted outdoors, but it is mounted in a weatherproof j-box with a weatherproof cover, so hopefully being outdoors will not affect its longevity. The USB charging points are a bonus.

Noisy Electronics, Hum won't go away.
Too Noisy. I know Pyle is not known for high-quality components, but I so wanted to like this device. Conceptually it is perfect. Installed bluetooth over Cat5 for installation. There is too much humm and noise on the line. As soon as you power it up, the "buzz" in the audio system is noticeable and intolerable. I even tried running the audio through a hum eliminator audio transformer which reduced the hum, but did not eliminate it. This device "works" but the quality is just too low for professional installation.
