Filled with examples
The thing that sets this book apart from all the other books about cascading style sheets (CSS) is that it gives EXAMPLES of (1) what the style sheet looks like, (2) what the HTML code looks like, and (3) what the web page looks like as a result of the first two items.Yes, it might be nice if the paper were of higher quality. It might also be nice if the book were printed in color. But content is king. And I've read a lot of CSS books printed on better paper and in color that weren't very clear nor very helpful. This one is clearly written and truly helpful. You may not learn much from this book if you already know a great deal about CSS; but if you know little, it will be extremely helpful. In addition, there are aspects of CSS that are reported in this book that I've never seen elsewhere.

Nice Quality Very Helpfull.
I purchased the three book set and they must have improved the paper quality the cover is a nice 80# gloss cover and the inside pages are 6o# text the quality is not a factor anymore the books are about 1/2 inch thick each. The content does contain a lot of the content avaiable online but it is nice to be able read it when I am not online and it makes a great reference. I am fine with the price for what I recieved I find the w3c schools site is very helpfull and figure even if I pay an extra dollar or two I am supporting a group the helps a lot of people learn web development. I wish it was avaiable on the kindle.

W3Schools does a Great Job
I also have the book "Learn HTML and CSS" by W3Schools. Both are well written and easy to understand. I like the examples, the organization, and the way W3Schools breaks down the subject matter. Style sheets seems an excellent tool in website projects.

A new beginning
I learned CSS while in college but was never in-depth as far as training went in class. This book really get to the core of CSS and does improve upon your web site with more interesting aspects that give your web site that extra bit of 'special'. If you want to learn CSS and not wanting to get confused, this book explains it all in a simple format for the average person to understand. Good for beginners that have gotten used to HTML. Check this book out. I believe you will like it very much.

Very good investment in learning CSS
View (if any) developers of apps, code or web technology appear to be able to write prose. Personally, I don't think universities require Computer Science grads to take any English or Composition classes. The end-user most times is left to trial-and-error for the learning process. (Maybe the developers just don't want to complete their work.....)Anyway, I found this text very, very useful in aiding in the fulfillment of the missing link of documentation. I found it well-structured, understandable; and for me, well worth the price.I recommend it.

A matter of fact teaching book.
Most books that teach some sort of programming seem to want to talk in volumes about something - presumably to fill lots of pages to make the book look thick and knowledgable. This book is small. But it is packed full of fact. No mucking about. No funny anecdotes. Just the facts. If you need to find out how a piece of code works, just look it up and the information is there in its simplest form. W3Schools also has a great web site with interactive examples to back up what's in the book. No bells and whistles, but all round very helpful.

It was a great way of Learning on HTML created by Tim-Berner Lee Thanks to him
It was very great that I find out who is the creator of HTML that was Tim-Berner Lee. The W3C(World Wide Web Consursium) the spelling might not be correct but it was close thanks also to them because Websites are created because of them using HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language) combine with CSS(Cascading Style Sheets) and PHP. I don't know what is the meaning of it. Including the used of Javascript to give notification to users and including the Errors that which gives me idea on problems between application. I learn again the important basics of HTML and including the sign up form.

Manuals made of toilet paper
I am extremely displeased by this series. There is nothing to say about the content. it is the free tutorial you can browse and print for free on the W3School web site (there is no added content, but the books are good companions to brush up the on-line topics). However, the book quality is a shame (for the price). It is made of toilet paper (or the like). You can't expect to keep it and use it as a book reference, or do wear white gloves and use caution when you turn the pages. One can expect some paper quality for a manual. A manual is not a "read & trash" novel you buy at an airport stand; well yes, these manuals are... That's a cheap trick (as in cheap paper) from w3school and Wiley to make more bucks over the customers.I don't recommend anybody buying these books until w3school/Wiley improve the paper quality & reduce the price. If you want complete manuals for web development, you can look elsewhere for more complete, cheaper and better books.
