AMMMMMMAAAZZZZING DEAL AND VALUE!
Amazing product. The Product is amazing as it has a big display where you can see the numbers. When I turn off the lights the display automatically knows to turn on a dim almost glow in the dark light. The snooze button is back and has a nice click feel to it. On top of that the alarm clock works on two AAA batteries and the third battery is back up. The sound of the alarm is very impressive as it starts with one beep then it turns into two beeps. After that it turns into three beeps and then it continuously makes loud noise until you wake up. One thing I hate about alarm clocks is setting them up. My old RCA I bought 10 years ago as a painter set up. This one is very easy as you have a master selector switch and then that controls the exact button and function. If you’d like to set the alarm you switch to alarm and then you can change the alarm Siri simple and took me 30 seconds to set it up. The added benefit is that it displays the temperature and it also displays the alarm time in the upper right hand corner and even the date it’s a very multi use clock and very well priced at $10 I will be buying another few for family and friends.

GREAT
Excellent clock for the nightstand. It has a soft backlit light. I am buying a couple more of these.

If it were accurate, it would be better
This review is for the alarm clock, not the clock radio. The clock-radio that runs on AC has a battery for backup. But my review is for the alarm clock that runs on battery, not AC. Therefore , the third AAA battery in the alarm clock is not for backup, it's for lighting the display. When you hit the snooze button, the display comes on brightly. When you change one of the rear switches from Sensor Off to Sensor On, the display will stay on nicely dimly, if it's dark enough, gently dim for sleeping at night. I don't use the bright backlight or the dim always-on-when-dark, so I can't say how long the third battery will last if you keep the clock switched to Sensor On. All I can say for sure is that it's a very nice display. I put this in my Ham Radio station and set the clock for UTC, which is the Sumerian abbreviation for Greenwich Mean Time. I never set the alarm, because I'm afraid it will wake me up. Update: Dropping my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. The clock runs slow, loses a couple of seconds every week or so. So every couple of weeks or so, I have to set it fast a couple of seconds. I set the clock using the "WWV broadcasts" on a shortwave radio. Update: It's been a year. Still on the first battery(ies); whatever's in here I don't remember. I never use the backlight, except for novel jollies. When I finally have to change the batteries that power the clock, I'll throw away the battery used for the backlight before it starts leaking. The industry would make me happy if they included UTC as a time-zone option in regular, $40 atomic clicks.

Great little clock, quit looking, get this one.
This clock is awesome. I looked at a lot before making a purchase, but I'm glad I decided on this one. Runs on batteries and is small enough to take anywhere. At night it's bright enough to read, but not too bright. I like it completely dark when I sleep and this doesn't bother me at all. Easy to set up and the temperature is an added bonus.

Don’t bother
I really liked the simplicity of this alarm clock when I first got it. It has a light motion sensor, so it will dimly turn on the light if there’s movement. However, after a while, the light stayed on all the time and was disruptive to sleep. Now you can no longer see the numbers unless you tilt it a certain way. The first image is while looking straight at the clock, without the light on. The second is tilted at an angle, which is the only way you can view the time. The third and fourth photos are with the snooze light on. You get the gist. While not an overly expensive clock, save your money and go elsewhere.

Can't see it at night
This may well be a good clock but I wanted it so I could tell what time it was when I woke up at night and I couldn't see the screen. Not bright enough.

Great little clock
I bought this for the clock/temperature features. My husband likes it by the couch. It is small, but easy to read. When it is dark he just presses the button and the light goes on. It has been great - thinking about buying another one.

Super cute... Super useful..
1st image you see is in unlit condition. 3rd image is lit condition when you press the snooze/light button on top. 2nd image shows the back side of the alarm clock for you to change all the settings. One word I should say is Impressive... The numbers displayed are bold and visible from a distance...Even old people can easily read It. It is quite easy and intuitive to set time, date and alarm. The sound of alarm is good enough to wake you up. Sensor switch at the back when switched on puts on a dim screenlight when in dark such that it does not intrude your sleep but bright enough to be visible throughout the night. During daytime it becomes like in image 1 without any light. This alarm is a perfect company to get rid of mobile for setting alarms... Absolutely loving it...

Perfect for what I needed it for.
The school bus I drive doesn't have a clock. I really need to know the correct time to drop off/pick up the passengers. This battery operated clock is perfect as it's dark in the mornings and with it's low level optional always on backlight, and large digits, it's just bright enough. I velcrowed the clock to the dash and as it's not too bright I don't find it distracting. If I need it brighter I just touch the snooze button and it gets really bright for a few seconds. Cons: You have to be looking at the screen at a certain angle, or you won't see the numbers. Once you find that angle it's fine. I left it in the bus overnight at -30 C and the numbers were only partially visible, and it lost about a minute. In fairness, not too many electonics would function well at that temperature. I now take it out of the bus at nights. I recommend this clock for situations where you don't have electricity but need to see the numbers in a low lever backlight that can be always on and senses darkness.
