This unit has met all my expectations. The installation of my own 1 TB disk was easy, only requiring their formating program to be run before use. The cameras are not HD but give enough resolution to satisfy my needs. The IR at night works well as long as you keep away from close window reflections. I got the 8 channel unit with 4 cameras since I had 4 of my own cameras. They work fine with this unit. Also pre-wired my home with RG59 and their cameras work with that cable. I have not used any of the scheduling, alarm settings, and motion sensing options. Searching recorded videos is easy by specifying the camera, date and time you are after. According to their calculations, recording 4 channels 24 hours a day should give you 52 days worth of recordings with a 1 TB disk. The network connection allows access from any computer in our home. Accessing from a remote site right now is not testable right now due to the restrictions from our internet service provider. There are many other options I have not used yet. I may add them to a future modification to this review.

It's a very nice DVR. it's got a lot of wiring with it and wiring of course limits it's surveillance span but good for small spaces! The 4 cameras it came with are crystal clear and very good durability too .

After 2 hours of fiddling with the set. I like the system but I got into a few problems. The quality of the cameras feels good. Good aluminum body. Quality of the image is good (daylight) unable to check at night yet system is not installed After first boot up the system works flawlessly after a few min the RGB when south (check pic) HDMI color good The DVR unit is good but the space to install the HDD is small and I have problems installing it (see pics) the power cord for the HDD is too short. I have to install in different orientation de HDD the holes in the case don't match the HDD case so is hold just by 1 screw i can put more but I have to make holes in the case. One of the wires came defective I have to wiggle to make good connection is not at the metallic connector is at the rubber part that fail . Software is good a lot of settings I'm a handy guy technically inclined but the software is too much for my brain for now to handle. Few things I can't make it work (my fault) I didn't have the time to connect to the internet yet. The RC is not good I have to point straight to the box otherwise will not work and the distance maybe 3-5 feet not more. Another thing catch my attention after 30 min of operation the CPU gets hot 122-123 Fahrenheit degrees (with the box open) I don't know how long is going to last the unit before conk out. The aluminum cooler is too small needs a bigger better one the unit is fan less (sorry for the fuzzy pic) I will update this review as I go deeper into the system keep in touch!! Ok after 2 days of use unable to get this thing to get connected to the internet for remote view. Is a royal pain to make it work MANUAL IS POOR AS IS BEST thanks you tube!!! Another thing one of the cameras is getting a fuzzy pic 3 cams work fine but one already is giving trouble (yes I check the wire) Went down one star From 3 to 2) due to more setup complications. Ok first things first I didn't installed the cameras right away it took at least to setup them about 8 months after I bought them (sorry I'm a lazy fat nurse) The box is working flawlessly software wise is ok is a learning curve I'm a nurse not a camera guy is a lot of settings I'm still having a low understanding about them but is my fault (I deserve a 1 star for my poor performance). Cameras they are sturdy and look good 2 already fail I forgot to take a pic from the first one but this one fail 2 days ago see the pic I paid at that time $165.99 now the price for the same set is $ 90.99 If you get them to work good I think is a good investment they are ok for the price but if the fail like in my case is a bad investment I don't expect stellar performance for price but I wish they work longer.

If you can put cameras up and wire it this is a great system but the main thing that made a HUGE difference is making sure you get a good hard drive. I at first tried some regular pc hard drives and I had nothing but problems with the system rebooting randomly, not recording, not being able to look at playback, etc. but then I ordered an ENTERPRISE hard drive, which are made for reliability and working 24/7 in high speed server computers. I found 1tb very reasonable brand new drives and I have not had one problem since then. The system is rock solid. The app is good too, you can use it from your smart phone or computer on the same network - just use the local login option on the Zosi Network Video Monitor app. I am also using this with my old PTZ camera and at first I didn't think it would work but it does! It is not perfect with the PTZ, sometimes I have to click a few times for the pan to work or focus, but overall I'm very happy with the DVR for the price. You get more than you pay for.

Excelente compra

I purchased this system for my back garage because I didn't want to run cables underground from the main house to expand my existing Samsung system. At $104 for a four camera system, expandable to 8, you can't beat the price. The system itself worked as advertise but there are some cons, see below. I am giving it 3* because of the software and tech support. Pros: 1 Price is Affordable 2 Picture quality is good. 3 Easy to install Cons: 1 The embedded software is not the best and need some work. I am use to the feature pack software on my other systems so I am somewhat bias. 2. The only PC app that works with this system (AVSS) requires an active internet connect to work. It will not load if you don't have a internet connect to login to their servers, why? This means you cannot use the software on a stand alone LAN to simply view the live video or playback recordings. This system is located in the back garage so I wanted to connect it to my home network for remote viewing. I have other software that work fine without a internet connect so I am not sure why this one requires one. 3. Tech support is basically nonexistent, I think most of the replies I received were from BOTs. 4. The USB ports are flaky and didn't work with some of my devices. I had problems with some of my wireless mouse and flash drives. The front port would not recolonize some of my flash drives and would kill the mouse when a flash drive was plugged the rear port. The USB port was stable when only one device was plugged in. 5 . The backup process is slow. I took over 5 min to backup one min of video but this could be a USB port issue.

I like these cameras ..Easy to hook up and view is good...Make sure you have good internet service and that you will be hooking up DVR box close enough to the internet box that you have enough wire to plug DVR box into internet box...They are manually adjustable not remote..So once you by hand fund the view toi want then thats where they stay until you mobe them by hand again. ...I did order more and them new ones that came in is not as easy to manually adjust...Also if you ordered this at the buying price of 107.00 with the dvr box and 4 cameras know if u order more that you will also have to order the 8 connect cameras cord....Other than that ..I like them and its worth the price for sure...

Great system

great all round system. price point was a little off putting at first, but bit the bullet and took the plunge. Using eight cameras as a home CCTV system. domed shaped camera housing blends quite nicely with the exterior of my home. PROS - easy to install and set up, system menu easy to follow, DVR is discreet and wouldn't look out of place under your TV next to your TV cable /sat boxes CONS - care and attention is required when positioning cameras. Held in place by small rubber grommets which are easily dislodged. If displaced after the camera has been installed, the camera itself becomes 'floppy' and you'll need to hold it place with tape (yuk) or gunning some silicon sealant. I had 3 cameras go 'floppy' on me and were replaced quickly, efficiently and free by Zosi. Very impressive customer service. The app which allows you to connect remotely to your system can be a little awkward. I consider myself to be extremely technologically proficient, however, I still required assistance with setting up the app on my iPhone. Would highly recommend this unit for personal and small business usage. The fact that you need to purchase your own hard drive is a bonus too, as you are able to select a memory size to suit your needs and price bracket rather than pay over the odds for a drive you can pick up for considerably less. I went with a 1Tb Western Digital drive for approx C$70.00 from amazon.ca edit (have put this unit up to 5 stars.) ; having owned this system for a few weeks I can honestly say that it is performing beyond expectations. Zosi customer service is second to none, and what price for peace of mind when away from home. Night operation and clarity is crystal clear, reviewing video feeds from my iPhone is very easy, as is accessing the recorded video. take your time to learn the full functionality of the DVR system and you will not be disappointed.

Item is used/second hand clearly. Box shows signs of multiple opening/closing and old labels.

Great product and even better customer service! I am very impressed wit the customer service received with this product. I purchased this on August 2017 and installed with no issues. It's easy to configure and run the wires. After about a month, I heard a buzzing noise from the DVR internal fan and contacted Zosi customer service by email for assistance. Within 24 hours I received a response with clear instructions on replacement, the CS rep then shipped me a replacement DVR unit within 48 hours! I am really impressed with the customer service by ZOSI, and they even extended my initial 1 yr warranty an additional year! This is the FASTEST turnaround of any electronic device I've ever owned... Feel free to buy with confidence here, it's a good product, as long as you do your research and understand what this device is meant for, then you should have no problems.

For the price I would say this is a good buy. The problem for me was trying to find a way to install it with all the wiring required.
