I'm not sure how it works, but it does work. I hurt my knee several months ago, so I asked for this for Christmas. Make sure to measure the diameter of your knee, not the upper thigh like the directions say. The box clearly states to measure around your knee. Any way, I've only worn it three times for a few hours each, and my knee pain is nearly gone. I guess it could be coincidence as I rested, then started doing light rehab exercises around the same time. I'm keeping the sleeve and if I have pain, I'll be using it again. It does tend to slip down, even with the right size, but as long as it covers the knee, it should do the job.

Th one thing I hesitated with was which size to get. I measured my knee circumference at 16". I was looking at the 14-16" Large size and wondered if it would be too tight for circulation/comfort. I went with the Large size listed at 14-16" and was quite happy with my choice. The fit was perfect, providing the correct amount of compression, not cutting off circulation. My overall rating is a four out of five because I could see some of the elastic where the seam was less than perfect with the stitching. I'm choosing to hand wash this and hang dry it. This should afford me a longer use period. I am please with my purchase and size choice. I would recommend choosing the size brace where your knee circumference measures near the top of the size margin for you. That should be where the correct fit lies.

I've tried quite a few and these are my favorite. Comfortable and effective.

With 14.5" around the knee and following the sizing chart, ordered the Large. The upper band above the knee was so tight it was very uncomfortable and felt like it was cutting off circulation. The overall compression was actually very light. Not at all what was expected!

I will give the knee sleeves five stars but there is room for improvement on the seam stitching. I bought one for each knee and the first time I wore them, they had a hole in one of them on the seam. Also, after you wear them a couple of times they are not as tight as when you first put them on. But having said all of that, I got tremendous pain relief and continue to receive pain relief. So, I would order these again. I received a replacement knee sleeve for the one that had the hole. Also, they stayed up for the full 8 hours that I worked. So overall, very pleased. Excuse the coloring in the photo, I was outside in my car and the Sun was shining down on my knee. The color of the knee sleeves are black as advertised.

Works for support, and edema in the knee. Can be used left or right.

I’ve been buying these for years and now the quality is non-existent. I washed them by hand in woollite and the stench of the rubber/elastic became unbearable to any person within my vicinity. I couldn’t wear them, so I machine washed them with “All” on delicate and now they are useless. There is no compression at all and they will not stay up on my leg, let alone support my knees. They lasted LESS THAN 30 Days. My return window is closed by a few days. NORMALLY THEY DID NOT LAST LONGER THAN ABOUT SIX MONTHS BUT LESS THAN A MONTH IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I WOULD ADVISE AGAINST PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT AS IT EXISTS TODAY. IVE PURCHASED MORE THAN SIX PAIRS OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS AND QUALITY IS GONE.

This product works. Put it in my knees before working out, does wonders. I highly recommend the copper fit knee band.

Fit is good not had it long enough to see if there's any value in using this product

I bought one to match a previous one I already had for the other knee. The style and fit had changed even though it appeared to be the same, so when wearing both, I don’t feel as though I have equal support. Both work well enough however.
