Easy to clean with soft sponge and soap, makes more than 1 cup at a time
Just as described and perfect in design and use. This is how it supposed to be, and I purchased the ceramic vs plastic because plastic does get damaged over time with hot water and if using boiling water, which I like to use, I figured porcelain/ceramic is better and worth the price. Yes, I have to be careful not to break it, and its like any other coffee mug, break it and replace it. Its not that heavy or bulky, just like a typical mug, just a bit more weight. Plastic is way lighter in weight and forgiving if you drop it or hit it by an accident, so that would be 2 benefits to purchasing plastic one, which I do recommend as well. (Hario brand). Plastic is also better for travel or camping, but I would take this one camping as well if need be. I do recommend this product and I didn’t want to go with a knockoff, because I respect Hario and their craftsmanship is on point. Buying knockoffs will get you by and sometimes, its worth the extra bucks to get the original piece knowing it will not fail you in design and functionality. (Unless you get lucky and find a great knockoff, which I didn’t want to bother this time). You can use almost any filter with it if you fold it and make it cone shape. I use big filters I have left from traditional coffee machine. Will say that its best when your coffee grounds are fine and some store-bought coffee grounds are too coarse so I rather grind my own, extra fine, and you get more out of your coffee, plus fresh grounds are always more aromatic and indulging. But any coffee grounds will work, I just find it using less of fine vs coarse grounds to achieve the same results. Remember, coffee industry recommends 2 tablespoons (10g) for every 6 oz water, which is a good place to start to find your preference. Double the amounts when using this dripper and make sure your mug or glass is 12oz or more to avoid overspill. Hope this review gives you a better idea about Hario V60 coffee dripper 02 ceramic. This review gave me something to do this weekend, for sure! Lol ;-)

Changed my attitude and enjoyment of coffee significantly - and I tried several methods
Wow. That's all I can say. A long time ago I started with a mid-priced coffee machine, figuring that a "name brand" like Cuisinart should be able to make a good cup of coffee. Was never that great. And when I used my Bialetti espresso maker with ground coffee, I found that the cheaper Bialetti using old tech made a MUCH tastier cup of coffee. But it is a pain to clean and you have to have a stove or very hot electric hot plate capable of boiling water. I moved to a French Press. They are great. Also a rich cup of coffee, tasty, no need for the stove. But even while I was able to avoid too many grinds by using just 7/8 of the available coffee in the pot, I found that the result wasn't always consistent. Some coffee didn't work as well as others. And cleaning wasn't fun or simple to scoop out the coffee, waste a ton of water cleaning it out and then letting it air dry. So I wanted to try a dripper - Chemex? I saw varying reviews and the negatives against the Chemex were significant, which included need a big glass pot which would collect coffee that I'd then pour into another cup while using very expensive Chemex filters - which may still be well worth it no matter what coffee making method you use. The carafe was also $40 while the Hario was only $15 and a no-lose proposition. I opted for the Hario filters and made my first cup of coffee with it - the same coffee I have used in the Cuisinart, the french press and now the Hario. Wow. I'm not a total coffee snob using the typical coffee adjectives. But my taste buds immediately could understand the tremendous difference in what the SAME coffee can taste like using different methods and a good filter. Using the slow pour method from my kettle, making as little direct contact with the filter paper, I made myself a cup. The negative - it took a bit longer, required my manual labor instead of letting the machines do their thing - but oh, the results. Wow. The need for sugar with other methods (especially the machine) suddenly was not necessary here. The coffee was rich -- like a cup of frothy hot cocoa if I can compare. None of the sour / bitter / acid (?) taste which led me to add sugar was present using the Hario and the method. It tasted much like the coffee I've had in a great coffee house. My friend's machine cost several hundred instead of the $80 of my Cuisinart. I'm guessing that it just automated the process properly such as having the water preheated and slowly dripped at the right temperature. THAT is the result I got from using the Hario. At around $7 for 100 filters, that comes to what - 7 cents per cup of coffee? For the convenience, the ability to have the richness and flavor that good coffee can provide, this $15 dripper is a no-lose investment. I chose the ceramic, which is beautiful to look at, very easy to clean, and leaves none of that "tinny" taste you may get with metal or that unpleasant smell / taste that is usually found from plastic. This is a winner.

Best coffee dripper for pour over coffee
This is the best coffee dripper for pour over coffee. I love the whole in the bottom of it because your coffee is ready in no time. I have a stainless steel one that has three little holes and it takes a lot longer to make your coffee. But not with this one and it’s porcelain on top of that. It’s dishwasher safe or you can hand wash it whatever you want and you never have to worry about it. I love the filters too. And they have a lot of different colors of course I just wanted to white one. Highly recommended if you do pour over coffee and you feel like your dripper takes too long, this is the one you need.

Requires care and attention to make the best cup of joe, but worth the effort
I had heard about this coffee maker in several places on line. I have been using an AeroPress coffee maker for quite some time. We have owned two; but over time, the seal in the tube loosens a bit, and the vacuum you need is greatly diminished. I decided it was time to check out some other options. Did lots of research on Amazon, looking at reviews, and decided to take the plunge. The price was reasonable, and I was intrigued by the design. I have used it to make my coffee each of the last two mornings, and all I can say is "Wow!!" The flavor is rich and full in comparison to the coffee I was getting from my Aeropress. Perhaps it was due to the failing vacuum seal that was diminishing the flavor extraction from the aeropress, but after doing some more research, it seems that the aeropress is know in "serious" coffee circles for being able to make bad coffee taste good. I am not a traditional coffee snob, but I do stick to single source coffee. It seems to reduce the likelihood of a bad reaction to the caffeine compared to a blend. So I buy decent coffee. And, I was stunned at the dramatic improvement in the flavor of my coffee. One of the reviews of various drip coffee makers I read hit the nail on the head when she described a friend complaining about how when she buys coffee to make at home from her coffee shop, it never tastes as good as the cup she buys there. It is a difference in equipment, training, and tools. I think that is where I am seeing the difference between the Aeropress and this. This is a finicky coffee maker. But, it is completely within the realm of the average person, if you are willing to commit a bit more to the process than slamming a K-cup into a machine, and pushing a button. It requires attention to the timing, pace, and manner in which you pour the water over the grounds. It helps to have the coffee freshly ground with a burr grinder. And if you want to be slavishly compulsive, you can even use a scale to get the perfect proportions of coffee to water, as I saw on one video. I am not that OCD about my coffee, and it came out well. I personally enjoy the ritual aspects of making a cup of coffee this way, as opposed to some other options. If that turns you off, this is not your brewer. If, on the other hand, you enjoy a great cup of coffee, but don't want to spend the time and money at the local coffee shop every morning, this is a great alternative. You can happily pat yourself on the back for being simultaneously frugal, while sipping on an amazing cup of coffee.

Great Dripper
Great pour over dripper. Switched from plastic version which was also good. Ceramic def stays cleaner but is a bit heavier than the plastic. Plastic was pretty stained after almost 10 years of use. I have always used the Hario filters and never had one break

High End Coffee Shop Taste Without The High Price Of Boutique Coffee
I have made the switch from French press to pore-over several years ago with a dripper I got from World Market (pictured on right) and it was a noticeable difference in taste not to mention quicker cleanup. Recently I’ve seen drippers with three holes and thought it would be better as the original one has only one hole and was kinda slow to brew. So I set on a research journey for a new one and discovered this V60. Soon as I saw the big hole and the well defined flutings I knew I was onto something. After reading all the high reviews and seeing all sorts of videos on various types of brewing I knew this is the new upgrade. This morning I brewed coffee in the V60. The brewing process I followed was the 5 pour method and it took 2 minutes less than the previous dripper I have been using for years. But the biggest takeaway here is the taste of the coffee. Same method as I have been doing and completely different taste. Literally a high end coffee shop taste. At first I was surprised at the size compared to my original one. But that does’t matter since it’s a pour-over and you never fill it up. Second the quality and craftsmanship is superb. It is quite thinner than the original one so needs a littler more care when handling. Third it looks wonderful just standing there and you can tell that it’s a pro level dripper. Definitely worth the money if you want to great tasting coffee without spending $5 bucks at some coffee shop. If you are on the fence on making the purchase, I highly recommend it.

Quality piece but not necessarily better than cheaper products.
So it's a pour over coffee cone. it's not exactly rocket science and pretty much all of these things perform similarly. Likely the only reason you're even here is you want something "nicer", something that will "last forever" and possibly something that's "not plastic" (which can be desirable for lots of reasons) and you're ok paying a premium for it. Well I can attest that this thing is a well made piece of ceramic. It feels good, the glaze and formation are very even, it looks stylish, easy to clean, I have no doubt this thing could possibly last forever. works fine for my 16 Oz tumbler. So what are the downsides? well being ceramic it's vulnerable to chips and breaks, it's also quite heavy. But if you're here you're probably OK with that. The biggest downside? It completely covers the cup! Many of the plastic or metal ones have gaps in the brim so you can see the coffee level as you pour. With this thing you're pouring blind, you either need to measure ahead or keep lifting it up to check the level. So for that usability issue It loses a star. If you just need some coffee get a plastic or even clear glass one for 1/3 the price. If you want something that looks like a piece of decor but also makes coffee and you don't mind pouring blind. get this thing.

Love this! I've tried a few.
Solid little pour over coffee maker. Well made and just works. I have tried a few brands and this one just seems to work better and be more consistent. Trusted brand and makes great coffee.

Beautiful cup of coffee.
Makes a great cup of coffee. Very sturdy, easy to clean and use. Makes a single serve cup (most cups, unless it was extremely wide). Price is a little more than some but the quality is well worth.

Muy buen producto
Tengo un v60 talla 2 que trabaja excelente para 800ml pero compre el 1 para hacer poco café y por taza y está genial. No se me enfría y los filtros tienen mejor costo. Lo recomiendo mucho para cantidades menores de café
