Osram 66140CBI Xenarc CBI D1S Light (Single pack)

Fits Mini Cooper S R56 '08 model with factory HID lights. It is a direct fit and came in factory packaging. I bought it directly off Amazon.com warehouse and not third party resellers just in case there's any knockoffs out there. Choose the Amazon.com "add to cart" button if you want to get it from Amazon itself. Its a more expensive option $83.40 when I bought it.Heard Phillips HID's are awashed with fakes so got Osram instead.I just fitted it and it works straight off. Starts off very blue and warms down to a slightly whitish blue light. Both sides are of the same color temperature. Works great at night and is brighter than my old worn out factory lights. Not sure how long these will last but its well made and Osram is reliable. Will update if it fails.

These bulbs are quite awesome. Unlike regular HID bulbs, these run at 5000K, which provides a pure white light, unlike 4300K which still has a slight tint of yellow in them. Best thing is that they are made by OSRAM, so you know you're getting a quality product. I've been using these for about a year now, and still impressed when I turn on my headlights. However these bulbs aren't any brighter than your typical 4300K bulb from OSRAM or Philips, you'll still get about 3200-3400lms, only difference is that they are pure white. After awhile normal HID bulbs will look like really bright halogen bulbs, yes the difference is that dramatic. I recommend them if you need new HID bulbs and looking for something a bit different.

Noticeably much brighter that the oem bulbs in my 2013 Volvo XC90

Ordered two of these to replace some aging lights in my vehicle.I was a bit wary at first as they had placed their own barcode sticker over the seal of authenticity on the packaging. After carefully peeling and removing the distributor inventory sticker on the packaging, I was able to see the seal of authenticity and both packages were verified as genuine on Osram's website.These replaced the standard equipment 66140's in my vehicle. The color is definitely a whiter than the factory bulbs and they do have a nice light tint of blue. Great for a replacement D1S bulb!

I purchased and installed these bulbs in my 2008 Saab 9-5 a few months ago. LOVE them! They are very bright and I love that the color is much more white than the stock bulbs I replaced (which one of them was blinking and on its way to failure). These bulbs are expensive, but worth every penny! Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a nice, bright white xenon bulb.

Contrary to the ad, this Amazon sold and shipped item was not new; its box was beat up, lacked the original sponge that protects the bulb, and scratched by the distinct marks of the bulb holder fastener clip. It did not seem an original OSRAM bulb. Unlike my damaged original, the base of the bulb was moving/rattling and the OSRAM Trust Program seal was covered by another label. While thoroughly disappointed with this item and now cautious of "sold and shipped by Amazon," credit to Amazon customer Service, however, for their professional and expeditious handling of my complaint.

I followed the advice of the seller and replaced the bulbs on both headlights. The price was reasonable at $70 per bulb, and they work as expected.
