Does exactly what it's supposed to
Not much else to say since the product itself is pretty self explanatory in its specs. If you just need a pretty simple docking station that allows display out and charges your laptop at the same time, then this seems to be the best bang for buck out of the docking stations I researched. It also has a pretty healthy amount of ports considering its size. I don't travel for work, but if I did, this charging station would also be perfect for travel since it is so compact. The only thing to consider is that power brick as well, which is more or less the same size as the docking station.I haven't had any connectivity or power issues, seems like a very reliable unit. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who just needs a basic laptop docking station.

Works well with 4K display
I have a T15 and I'm currently using an external 4K display on display port and it works perfectly fine. I have no complaints about this dock.It comes with a thunderbolt ready USB C to C cord which you will need if you want to be running 4K and charge your laptop at the same time. The cord and the dock feel thick and decent quality.

Still had to buy a cable
Included USB C cable was faulty. Everything works besides that.

Have deployed dozens of this to various client sites and they're always rock solid reliable
I own an IT MSP and have deployed dozens, if not hundreds, of these docks to various client sites over the years and they're one of the most reliable docking stations I've found. I use them with many different brands of computers from Lenovo, Dell, etc. and they've been reliable with everything. They're expensive, but you get what you pay for and this is my go-to dock for Windows machines.

Dock came with wrong USB-C cable and no video output, TWICE. Needs a different cable.
Dock connected to my computers for everything EXCEPT video output. Tested with multiple computers (Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen 7, X13 Gen 5, and P1 Gen 4) and multiple monitors with same result.Tried updating firmware, it was able to update all the firmware except the displayport hub that is responsible for video output, where it reported "Update DP hub FW... Fail" as shown in the screenshot.I returned it and ordered a replacement, which arrived with the exact same issues. After looking very closely at the product photos, I realized that the USB-C cable I received both times does NOT match the cable pictured, both in the Amazon listing and on the Lenovo support site. The correct cable in the pictures appears to have longer connectors with two little holes at the base on each side. For testing, I borrowed the correct cable from a ThinkPad Universal USB-C Dock (40AY) at my office - when using the correct cable, this dock works perfectly, video outputs and all. Somehow, this dock seems to be shipping with the wrong cable.I'll be returning this 40AS again and this time, buying a 40AY dock instead.

Works great, makes using the laptop much more convenient and productive
A lot cheaper than traditional docking stations (important since I'm paying for this out of my own pocket); and pretty convenient (just connect 1 cable, which allows me to place the laptop anywhere). I've used up all its ports except the HDMI port; and it works great.Out of the box, I had issues with it. It detects my USB 3.1 hub (with 3 external USB drives) but wouldn't allow me to access 2 of them (the one that it allowed me to access created data corruption; had to reformat the drive); it also recognized my ethernet cable attached but wouldn't transmit any data out of it. After updating its firmware, it's working great. My laptop is a Thinkpad T14 gen 4.

No issues. Also works with Mac Mini!
I got this for my Lenovo laptop and it has worked without issue.I recently got a new Mac Mini and found out this dock works with that too! So now I can use multiple monitors with my Mac.

Most functions work well, but not audio (after a recent firmware update).
Functionality is great except for the fact that audio out of the 3.5 jack is extremely low after a firmware update. If you want to use external speakers attached to the dock, the audio is too low to hear voices from Zoom meetings or other video. This issue has been posted about many times on the internet and Lenovo forums with no solution. Something has changed with the firmware that broke the audio. My extra monitors connected through the dock are working great, but for Zoom meetings I need to use the tinny computer audio or connect via bluetooth - the dock just doesn't work for that anymore.
