The Scarecrow: A Fall Book for Kids

A beautiful story with beautiful illustrations!

I sent this as a gift for no reason. He adores the book, loves the photos and the sweet story.

This book is precious! The illustrations are beautiful, and the story itself is wonderful. I bought it for my 4 year old, and its a perfect addition to our book collection. Very pleased with this purchase, and I'll be recommending it to friends!

My two girls enjoyed this story, perfect addition to our fall/autumn collection of books, illustrations in the books are beautifully illustrated.

This is an excellent book for teaching central message and character traits. I read it to my first grade class as an introduction to fall and the changing of the seasons. My students fell in love with Scarecrow, who is loving, kind, helpful, selfless and patient. This book is written as a poem and we were able to feel and empathize with Scarecrow. As an educator, I enjoy books that teach empathy, kindness and love towards all creatures. When narratives make us feel empathy, it connects to humanity. I highly recommend this book to teachers and parents with children in Kinder through third grade. Although, I could see older students enjoying this book as well.

This book not only captivated our five year old granddaughter, but both of her grandparents, as well!The rhyming of the lines is engaging, and along with the touching story line and illustrations, make this book a real keeper! Our granddaughter quickly noticed the changes in the scarecrow's expressions and related to his feelings, along with those of the other animals. Lovely, lovely book!

Bought this book after checking it out at the library 4 times. And always having to put it on hold because it was always Checked out.Our whole family loves this heart warming book

I bought this book as a harvest type of book for my little one thats a year old. (Hes too young for this book). But I did get this after reading a review that described it as a beautifully written song/poem & that this is a must have. Well. I nearly cried it was so beautiful of a story. The illustrations were perfect too. Who cares if my kid has no real clue just yet lol I'll read it whenever. Its that good. Its worth the hype & all that. I'd gift this book too.
