Worth every penny.
Instead of collecting coins, or baseball cards I like collecting and trying new mice. If it's been made within the past 15 years, good chance I own or at-least tried it at lans or friend's houses. So when I heard about Microsoft listening to the community and remaking the intellimouse I was highly intrigued yet skeptical. But, due to the legendary pedigree of the original, I decided to bite the bullet and drop what I feel is a premium amount for a mouse. Hefty expectations were waiting for this product and oh boy, did it not disappoint. Here is why,A) Shape & comfort: Read this carefully, if you have larger hands (17cm or above) this is the mouse you have been looking for. It fits absolutely perfectly for a right handed palm, claw or like me a hybrid of the two.B) Build quality: Feels extremely polished and well built. Ever try an apple product back in the day, then it's knock off competitor? That material and weight difference? Yeah, same type of feeling here. Premium high quality shell, sides and buttons. It genuinely feels like a premium mouse, not some chunk of plastic that weighs as much as a feather and just as fragile.C) Performance: The pwm sensor included is Godlike. You can also grab the microsoft keyboard & mouse control to adjust everything from DPI, tailight color and even lift off + angle shaping! I genuinely tried to "trip" the sensor and cause it to slip up in the most unreal track and flick situations. Never fails. In gaming, the tracking due to the combo of amazing shell + sensor was actually provable. From my g403 to the Intellimouse, my zenyatta accuracy in Overwatch shot up by 7% overall in just TWO games with the mouse! Conclusion: Top tier, and I genuinely mean top tier mouse. It covers Gaming and Desktop environments perfectly, and hangs with any other mouse on the market. If you're looking for a right handed, premium mouse with one of the best sensors on the market, you owe it to yourself to buy this. Splurge a couple dollars more if this is past your budget slightly. I had my reservations, but surprisingly Microsoft knocked this out of the park.

A perfect mouse, but still prefer my original IE3.0
---INTRO---I purchased my original IE3.0 in October of 2006 for $29.99. It's usage includes heavy FPS gaming, photo editing and office work. It is now 13 years old and I still use it daily. Recently, the left button starting sticking when held down for longer clicks; such as when dragging icons. I fixed it, which I'll explain on the bottom, but prior to that I decided to give the new "Pro" version a go.---MAIN REVIEW & COMPARISON---The Pro is certainly high quality and in many ways superior to the original. It has everything the original has-- same shape, same tactile feel of the switches, same notched feel in the mouse wheel; but they took it a step further and upgraded things like the sensor and cord, among other things. Technically, it is the perfect mouse and superior to the already amazing original. However, in my particular case, I decided to keep the original 3.0 after fixing it. Now why would I do that when the Pro is technically better? Here's the thing--the sensor is TOO good. Yes, that's right. The sensor is TOO good. That sounds crazy, but hear me out: I use a textured glass cutting board as a mouse pad. It's the perfect surface and I'm not changing it. But all the new modern sensors are too accurate for this surface. They detect every little textured bump and cause the pointer to skip/jump. The Pro is no different. These modern sensors are simply too accurate for my mouse surface. The sensor in the original IE3.0 from 2006 is the "MLT04". It tracks perfectly on my textured cutting board.By the way, I tried adjusting the DPI and polling rate of the Pro using the software. I lowered DPI to 450 and polling rate to 125hz to match the original's. Made no difference. It's the sensor itself. It's just too accurate for my mouse pad. That being said, most people aren't using textured glass cutting boards as mouse pads and this new "Pro" version is more than deserving of 5 stars. Also, it's worth noting, I borrowed a standard cloth mouse pad from another computer in my home and the Pro indeed tracks with ultra precision on normal mouse pads and flat surfaces.---SUMMARY---So is the "Pro" the perfect mouse...? Well, yes, I think it is, as long as you aren't using a textured surface. It feels more polished than the original. The original feels more raw, more machine-like with it's rattly side buttons and cranky wheel; while the Pro, well it feels more elegant, more luxurious. If likened to cars--the Pro is an exotic SUPERCAR; the original is a MUSCLE CAR.---ADDENDUM / FIXING THE ORIGINAL---I learned that the worn buttons are fixable...so I did a complete overhaul of my original, completely dismantling it, taking the switch covers off, removing the springs, re-bending them to their original shapes, and putting them back in. I even did some modifications to make it lighter (sanding it down, drilling holes, removing the tail light, among other things). My original is now better than ever weighing in at 79 grams. The original weight was 106 grams. The Pro also weighs 106 grams, by the way.

Very Solid and Accurate Mouse that is Super Comfortable
I have been an Intellimouse user for 10 years. After my second one started having scrolling issues, I decided it was time to hunt a new mouse. Did my research and check with my gaming sons and their choices, then it was pretty much a sure decision. I am plain dirt old and don't game but have been a computer techie since the TRS-80 model 1. This is a great mouse for me. It is solid in construction like they used to feel. The scroll wheel is detented nicely and smooth to move. The buttons have been relocated from the old intellimouse so you don't accidentally hit the page back button when reaching for the mouse, plus the force needed to press it is more pronounce and you have to intentionally press this now. As for the right and left click buttons on top they are crisp and right on the money for accuracy. As for the aesthetics, the shape is more ergonomic and comfortable. The "taillight" it better looking and for a difference there is no light under the mouse for the sensor. Used to the old red laser and was surprised to see no light. Much more accuracy with the pointer now and it is fully adjustable as is all of the buttons and pointers through the Microsoft downloadable control panel for the mouse. You can make it just how YOU want it to function. All in all, this is well worth the money and you will NOT be disappointed with this mouse. Can't say how it works for gaming but for business and internet work, it is about as perfect as can be.

A great mouse returns
This line is one of the best business mouses ever made and the new version upholds the tradition. When the earlier versions were discontinued, I had found a close approximation in the Razer DeathAdder. It was a great substitute but I've been through two of them in about 6 years even though my usage is light (very little gaming) and not daily. The click action failed on one of them, and the wheel started slipping on the second. So, this new Intellimouse Pro feels like an Intellimouse should - fast, accurate tracking, a good ergonomic fit for large hands, and a notched wheel that is not too stiff nor loose. I hope it is durable, but I've only had it for a day so it's too soon to tell.

I've come home
What a delight to return to the IntelliMouse. Having owned one years ago, I've been on an expedition through various makes/sizes/shapes of mouse - all slightly lacking in something - to come home finally to the IntelliMouse Pro. It doesn't have all the 'whistles and flutes' of some others but what it has is a superb feel/shape/action that makes it a delight to use.

Great reincarnation of a classic
Anyone who used the orginal intellimouse will love this new iteration. The shape feels just as comfortable for larger hands and the click mechanism is satisfying. It would've been nice to have a way to change the DPI on the fly but that's a minor nitpick for an otherwise great mouse.

Everything you need in a good mouse
I've used the Zowie EC1-A for a while for its ergonomic shape, but I was always vocal about the subpar feeling of the clicks and buttons. Many people recommended I get the Intellimouse and they were definitely not wrong. The shape is great. I have slightly larger hands and this feels very comfortable to me. It's a right-handed ergonomic shape that fits really well. I don't get the moisture buildup that the Zowie mice were infamous for.All of the buttons and the actuation feel solid and amazing. Something that bothered me quite a lot on the EC1-A was how mushy every button managed to feel. The Intellimouse managed to get all of that right. Imagine a Logitech G502 feeling but slightly more firm. The scroll wheel is nice and solid. Although sometimes can get caught between half-rotations of the physical wheel and an extra actuation happens, usually not a big deal though. The thumb buttons might take just a tiny bit of time to get used to at first. The buttons are positioned slightly lower than where you might normally be used to, but are molded with bumps for better tactility. The sensor has great tracking. I play CSGO on 800DPI at 1.2 sensitivity which can require me to move my arm quickly to hit flick reactions. The sensor has never spun out or failed to track the movement, and has performed just fine. The LED light is pretty tasteful too if I might add. It's not super glaring or garish but a small decoration overall.Overall the Intellimouse, while a little heavier than most mice, is everything the EC1-A should have been and better.

Great for big hands
If you have big hands this mouse is a game changer. Probably better in the long run for your hands. I feel like this mouse was designed specifically for me because of how well my hand rests on it. It's honestly like putting on the perfect size glove. This mouse was designed decades ago. They did it well then so there is obviously no reason to change it. But the changes they did make are awesome. DPI settings, braided cord, rgb opton, etc.Very happy. Hope it lasts as many years as my original did.
