Very easy install.
Very easy install and no shims or adjustments needed on either of the 2 doors that I've installed them on. Not that it matters but I used the 24v plug and the squared off mounting plate. I will definitely purchase these again.

If you have to get this type of strike, get this one. Details on why in review.
I have purchased and installed several of these recently and also the cheaper versions as a test to see if there was good reason to use these vs the less expensive versions. I share my general findings to help you save $ and prepare for the experience. To be clear, this style of strike does what it claims, it eliminate the need to cut the door jam. When compared to the cutout style, it is not as easy to get right. It has the same issue with pressure from the door on the strike. In this case it becomes an even bigger issue since pushing on the door before you pull on it will make the tuning even harder. You will not have any good options other than fixing the door to make this one work. Its what you should do anyway but I am sure there are times when someone has said.. well good enough, have them push then pull. This strike comes with good instructions / details on how to tune it. Other similar less expensive strikes don't seem to even admit that tuning is needed. The design and workmanship of this specific strike Is Superior to the less expensive versions. The gap is smaller the angles are better and the spring load is different. Each of these adds to what makes this strike better and easier to get right. The back side of the unit is slightly larger 1-2mm than the less expensive versions which if you are using this to replace one of those, you may need to cut out the back support to get it to fit. Or maybe just peal off the sticker. If you have to use this type of strike, buy this one, not the cheaper versions. You will avoid some additional frustration while tuning. At first you may even think its just not going to work. It is very likely you will hate these if you are used to working with the standard cutout style and even more likely you will give up and go with the cut out style if you use the less expensive version. If you are not put off by cutting the door, I would suggest just using that style. Reserve these for only the places where you really need to avoid cutting the door jam.

Fits great, but sticks
These are the easiest strikes I have installed. Very minimal cutting (if any) on a steel frame door. The security pin and bolt on front entry locks tend to stick badly. It happens nearly every time we use these strikes. Usually need to bevel cut the lock bolt a little with a dremel to keep the bolt from sticking when opening the door.
