Replacement Refrigerator/Freezer Ice Maker Fits WR30X10044

Followed instructions. The water fill cup and the wire harness were way too tight a fit and did not snap in place like the GE product. In fact, where the fill cup attaches to the maker the opening appears to be slightly tapered and the fill cup tab is not.I waited over 24 hours and no ice. On top if that there is no on / off switch or no defined ways to run diagnostics

I purchased on April 7, 2020, as a replacement for my GE WR30X10044. The ice maker will make ice, but ice will not drop down into the ice bucket. As you can see by the photo the ice gets hung up on the wire that holds the paddle. So inorder to get ice I have to open the freeze door look inside and reach inside to dislodge the ice, I have to check to ice maker Everytime I go by the refrigerator. I would NOT RECOMMEND this product.This is a follow-up to my original review. In order correct my problem I added a small piece of wood to straighten out the ice machine which out of alignment. The machine now works perfectly. But should I really have to do this???

I purchased this because our icemaker broke and the repair company want a minimum of $400 for a new one.So. we purchased this, unscrewed the old one and plugged this one in .Took about 10 minutes to do and it is working great. Quick ship a very good price. No more puring bags of ice into my ice tray.

My ice maker stopped working few years ago and replacing this mechanism solved the issue

False advertisement Alert: This ice make is NOT......I repeat NOT.....a replacement for WR30X10044. I installed it in my GE refrigerator but it did NOT work. Waste of my time!!!!!
