Q: I’m making pad thai and need a cup of tamarind juice. i hear 1 teaspoon to a cup of water works anyone know if that’s right?

Thats what i bought this (Pad Thai) for and haven’t used it yet. Was making my own version of a Tamarind substitute that actually was’t bad but this jar makes it much easier. My recipe calls for 1/4 cup tamarind concentrate

Q: The product is presented as a non-gmo but my label does not state that it is. is it?

The new version of the label does state it as non-gmo. Our old label did not (you can see the listing for new version of label). It has always been non gmo, but only recently did we put it in our marketing.

Q: It’s specified as “not from thailand” is there a difference between different countries’ tamarind? i’m making an indonesian dish.

So long as your recipe is calling for wet tamarind (seedless is always preferred), country of origin should not matter.

Q: Would this be good to spread on toast or cracker?

Yes you can and if you like, a schemear of cream cheese on the cracker works well when topped by the chutney. I also use it as an accompaniment to chicken and pork. This is good stuff. Bon appetit.
