MOOG K6439 Suspension Stabilizer Bar Bushing Kit for Chevrolet Silverado 1500

to quickly summarize / review: fits like a glove, securing the stabilizer bar onto the frame of my 1996 Chevrolet c1500. Also replacing the end links, but these bushings were pretty shot and the new ones are a great improvement. Especially at this price. Build quality seems to be of polyurethane rather than rubber. Certainly better than OEM and a great value. Gotta love the availability of parts for these old chevys! Ride quality still TBD, as I’m doing shocks and already installed new tires, so an alignment is due once all the front end work is completed. I installed these MOOG K6439 sway bar bushings on my 1997 C1500. It was a perfect fit and they went on with no issue. Some videos online show folks removing the entire center link the replace the bushings. I was able to install them with ease without removing the center link. Mine were made in the USA and seem to be a thermoplastic instead of rubber, which will hopefully resist leaking oil better.

Every bushing dealer says that these are the only ones for my 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. They do not realize that Chevy used other sizes also. These fit a 1.31" sway bar. All the pictures that show there being a gap left in these bushings after installing them. Those are 1.41" (33.5mm) sway bars and using K6439 they are clamping that bushing on the sway bar, and it will not pivot very easy at all. Measure your sway bar with some calipers. If your sway bar comes out at 1.41" (36mm) then purchase the K200222 bushings for the right fit. They will not say that they are for your vehicle, but they are 1.41" (36mm) and bolt up perfectly.

Work fine. Do it every 4-5 years in the rust belt and use new bolts with anti seize. Did one recently and the bolt was the size of a toothpick. Got lucky. Dang rust is a killer..

These did not fit my 2003 Tahoe LS, after Amazon said it would. These are for 33mm front sway bar. Mine has a 30mm sway bar. Check this diameter of your sway bar before ordering! 30mm Moog part# is: K201175
