Differin Restorative Night Moisturizer

I started pairing Differin Restorative Nightly Moisturizing Cream w/ Differin Gel to use nightly. I was using Differin Gel w/ another nightly moisturizer (sensitive skin) Ive used forever & wasn't tackling the extreme dryness Differin Gel causes. Since adding the Differin Moisturizer Cream its been 100% better on dryness, redness, and irritation! Took about 2 weeks to actually see improvement (see pics). It says may also purge some new pimples to surface at beginning. Im in my 40's and have adult cystic acne. Its pretty bad & hormone derived. Used prescription creams & oral meds for many years. My dermatologist recommended I switch to Differin Gel at night & a prescription compound antibiotic cream in morning, along w/ continued Sprinolactone. I ALWAYS use Elta MD tinted sunscreen SPF 44 also to avoid sun irritations as well. I hope after 6 months my cystic areas are no longer resurfacing, but so far Im very pleased w/ this product. If a recurring cyst starts to surface (I have very deep areas that will resurface) it goes away in few days & easy to coverup without pain or redness in that area. My skin is tightening & younger looking w/ less wrinkles as a great plus also! This product is not for all types of acne. So I'd ask a dr if recommended. It used to be Rx only. I highly encourage also pairing w/ the Differin Nightly Moisturizer Cream to reduce the side effects from the Differin gel which is going to occur w/ this product guaranteed! I do not want to use generic accutane which has very high risks to liver & is really all that is left after this regimen per my dermatologist.

This is the only moisturizer that has worked for my overly hypersensitive skin. I tried to renew my subscription but apparently is no longer available. Pls bring this back, Differin!

My Son has acne prone skin. He’s been using Differin gel for some time & has found success in it eliminating his acne & keeps it under control. He would use CeraVe PM Moisturizer which is a lightweight moisturizer & is nice but I saw this & thought it would help more. It surely does! This moisturizer is very moisturizing. It has little scent to it. In applying it it smooths out nicely on his face with no additional irritation on top of the gel. I love that it has Hyaluronic Acid in it. That ingredient makes skin so healthy. Pairing up the gel & the moisturizer was a good choice & I’m glad I made it. For the bottle I received & the price I paid it’s well worth the cost. I use subscribe & save so I save a little more $ & will order at my convenience. I definitely recommend this for anyone who is using the Differin Gel!

I bought this set first. I love the cleanser! The .5 oz 1% Differin didn’t last long because I was hesitant to put it on thin when I was just out of the shower. Plus I put it on twice per day for the first week. It killed the little tube fast! The 1% & 2% dark spot both remove acne scars, flat moles, suntan stains & some wrinkles. I’ve been using it on my face, neck, arms & hands. I don’t use it every day. It seems to keep working a few days after application. And definitely do put it on ASAP after showering. It spreads a lot thinner & uses a lot less compared to dry skin. Like they say, using more doesn’t make a difference. Be very careful when washing. And definitely use the differin gentle cleanser. Exfoliating can make it very painful. Definitely wash at least once per day. Twice if you leave the house. Some days I had a lot of sloughing. Washing twice per day kept me from looking hideous. 😉 I tried the moisturizer with sunscreen. It’s good. I only used the nightmare moisturizer a couple times, so far I’m not a fan. (Separate purchase.) My dermatologist recommended Differin 2%. She said to not use it in summer/sunny weather because it can cause staining. She said to use sunscreen if going out. If I was starting over & not wanting to buy everything to start, I’d just buy the 2% dark spot remover, (per my dermatologist,) and the gentle cleanser. My skin is getting so smooth & soft that it barely needs moisturizer. It was feeling dry right after I used moisturizer so it is making a huge difference.

Love this moisturizer for night time. I think it’s too heavy for daytime use but there are times that my skin is extra dry that day and I’ll use this. I highly recommend to help soften the areas of my cheeks.

I have only used this for one night, but I am amazed at the results. The cream did not sting and quickly sank into my skin. I woke up to skin that was hydrated, not oily, and the ongoing redness on my cheeks has dramatically gone down. My skin looks happy and healthier. All this from just using this product over just one night. I feel like I have discovered the Holy Grail of nighttime moisturizers. Purchasing the daytime moisturizer now.

Got this lotion for my son who started using differin gel for his acne. I figured pairing the gel and lotion of the same brand would be the way to go, but unfortunately it wasn't. It has a lot of great stuff in it and a lot of irritants too. It stings my son's face a ton when he uses it. So now he uses CeraVe or Vanicream with the gel and that works out really well. I think this lotion would probably be fine for people who don't use differin gel, but if you are using it or have sensitive skin, be leary.

Please bring this back. I’ve been using it for years it’s the best moisturizer ever for dry skin. Can’t find anything like it since it’s been discontinued:(
