Read past reviews and was leery about purchasing. But the quality is good. No problems removing pieces or opening compartments. Great size and fun. Not too difficult and love the compartment sizes.

The puzzle box that held the Christmas gift card was a delightful surprise. The design was intricate, adding an extra layer of excitement to the gift-giving experience. The level of difficulty was just right, challenging but not frustrating. Overall, it enhanced the joy of receiving the gift card and made the Christmas celebration even more memorable.

I'm going to mirror what a lot of other reviewers have said. This makes for a nice gift, or the box for a small gift, like jewelry, gift cards, SMALL/THIN items, NOT as an every-day-wear kind of box. It doesn't have very many steps, but they are decently difficult for people who don't do puzzles all the time (but maybe not for small hands or for the easily-frustrated).There are TWO compartments, and the second one is best geared for gift cards as it's shallow.Mine smelled of fresh lacquer (like paint thinner, not booze) and the parts were REALLY tight and kinda stuck together, like they had been put together while the coatings hadn't quite cured yet.Before I gifted it I operated it a number of times, start to finish, to make sure it opened when it should, but the outer finish isn't durable enough for this to be used as an every-day jewelry box. This is best used as a gift box, and something to put valuables in that are not accessed frequently, as the parts are liable to loosen up, and the finish might rub off.But it was fun watching my wife kinda struggle with it :P

The box came as described, it was very well-made. I had no scratches or any issues described by others. I LOVED the idea of something fun to spice up giving cash or gift cards. Teens and adult children want cash or cards (in this economy, who can blame them?). The puzzle box is beautiful and well-made. I say this, but use caution when solving. Remember that it is a puzzle, not a demolition project. The solution is not easy and does present a challenge. The solution is included, and what I did is took it out of the box prior to giving. Of course they can always Google the solution, but hopefully they stick with it and work through it. I like that the box is reusable. I figure they can pass it on to someone else or return to me for next gift giving opportunity. Love it, love it...I bought 4. Highly recommend!!!

Pros: this is a fun little box to get open. I bought it for my nephew’s 18th birthday. Cons: the finish on this is terrible. It has chips and scratches just from me delicately opening it to put cash in it. It takes away from the puzzle aspect because you can clearly see where there are marks in the finish at the sports where it opens plus giving it as a gift- its now “damaged”. Great idea, poor execution.

This was a fun way to gift a family member cash. The device is not of high quality, so if it got broken in the process of figuring out the steps to unlock the box, it wouldn't have been a huge loss, as the device was very reasonably priced. Unlocking the box was moderately challenging, so it wasn't too complicated, yet presented enough of steps that you had to work at it. Much better than having cash fall out of an envelope!

The perfect gift for children who need to be reminded that you're the master of giving annoying gifts. Fill the obvious hidden compartment with coal and put the real goods in the secret compartment, then sith back to watch the fireworks.

The puzzle box is attractive and sturdy. The big compartment can fit small items and the smaller compartment can fit flat items (gift cards, money, a small card, etc.). Personally I think the puzzle was hard to solve because many of the moveable parts are well hidden (you often can't see the cracks and the parts wiggle very slightly so it's hard to notice they can move). This is excellent for a person who is patient, observant, and likes to solve puzzles. Also if you have any questions, the company is polite and quick to respond.2024 edit: worth mentioning that my friend solved it within 15 minutes so it was a great gift (I was afraid he would be stuck haha)

Was an awesome little puzzle box! Well made, cool design and challenging for my 12 year old to figure out both compartments! Would definitely buy again for box to hide money or gift cards. Have bought others, this one by far the best!

This is an incredibly simple 1 step puzzle box. All the detail on the side is fake. It only has one moving part aside from the lid.
