Andersen® Gliding Patio Door Tandem Roller Assembly (1982 to Present)

I have two Andersen sliding glass patio doors in my house. The house was built in 1983 and these are original doors. The old ones were held in my screws and the new ones just kind of slide in and are supposed to be held in place by pointy locking tabs. They really do not fit easily or stay secure initially. I think once the weight of the door is on the rollers assembled and back on the track, it will settle in. Initially, the adjuster doesn't really line up in the adjuster hole.On the upside, the old foot opens and closes with nearly no effort at all now, so they work well.Honestly, I can see why the company redesigned the old setup and came out with the new. It looks like they used about 1/3 less meta this way. They're saving money and resources, I just don't think the fit is as good as the original ones.

After fighting my sliding door for years i got these new rollers. Within half an hour my doors are sliding like new. No more pushing and shoving it open. It first started sticking during the winter. So. I thought that it was the wood swelling. Still did it during summer. 90 year old house. Small.earthquakes. Must have foundation shifting a bit. Bottom toe lock started failing. Went to Amazon looking for replacement. Bought it and installed.it on about 4 minutes. Saw other replacement parts for Andersen sliders and screens. light bulb starts to glimmer. End result: spent about $50 and 30 minutes for door rollers and screen rollers and springs. Both doors work like new. If you are having problems with your slider do.yourself a favor. Order new rollers and install them. Save yourself years of frustration.

Installed the new rollers on a 25+ year old Anderson Sliding Glass Door. I used a You Tube video to review the installation. It took no more than 30 minutes to remove the door, prop it at 90 degrees on the door frame, remove the old rollers, install the new. What a difference. First time I closed the door I though I was going to have to retrieve it from the neighbor's yard as the amount of force I had grown accustomed to was by far much less. The only installation hint would be to remove the adjustment hole covers and place the door so you can visualize the roller adjustment screws to position the rollers properly for future adjustment. Removing and reinstalling the door is best done with two people.

my door was a little stiff for a few years now, I just got used to it. finally, the old roller wheel broke leaving me with no choice but to replace it. shipping was fast, and the install was even faster! the whole task of taking the door off the track and removing both of the old rollers and replacing them with the new rollers took about 10 minutes! the first week after putting the new rollers on I had to stop myself from slamming the door! I would forget about it and come home being used to the door being stiff and would almost rip it off the track it was so smooth!

False advertising. Item NOT NEW . item has many visable dents and Scratchs . Unfortunately the seller is selling items at the same cost as NEW but shipping USED ITEMS.

I expected to receive new rollers. The two rollers I received were definitely used, with many scratch marks. Further, they were wrapped in newspaper! Buyer beware. I've returned the rollers and ordered new ones from Andersen. It turns out they cost the same. And they are new. And I'm certain not wrapped in newspaper.

AMAZING! I didn't know a patio door could open so smoothly and so quietly. I don't know why we never replaced them sooner. Our house is 28 years old and we have lived in it 10 years. I am assuming the original rollers were on the door. Hubby said the weren't hard to replace and the difference they made is unbelievable. We immediately bought another set for the patio doors on the upper level of our house. We highly recommend this product.

Fairly easy to install once you take the door out and lay it down. Once installed and door back in it rolls easily again like new
