Dayton Audio AMT Mini-8 Air Motion Transformer Tweeter 8 Ohm

I ordered these because I wanted to upgrade from a set of piezo tweeters. I figured with the included extra faceplate, they'd easily fit right into the hole. WRONG! These little guys are tiny tiny. So tiny in fact when I picked up the box they came in, I thought, "Oh No, they only sent one" But they did send 2. And thankfully they do come with an additional extended faceplate, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to mount them into the existing holes without some major revamping. As it was, I had to dismantle the piezo tweeters and gut the innards so I could mount these tiny little guys into the piezo housing. With a little bit of drilling and some patch work, I was able to get them mounted. Boy do they sound great. So crisp and clear. Alot more detail than the piezos they replaced. I highly recommend these tweeters. I'm using these with a crossover at 5khz. My midrange has an L-pad so I can balance the mids to the highs. The output of these is slightly lower than average, 88db @ 1watt, so be aware of that. I'm so happy with these little guys. They're stellar.

Yes yes yes. My Installer and tuner and me (the listener) all agree that this is a fantastic addition to any setup. It requires the right application but the sound is amazing. I ordered two sets because I thought it would be over shadowed by the other speakers. Could only put one set in because they are loud and clear. But be warned that I have the crossed high in a 3way setup. Crosse dat 8000 hertz. The siblance is so real and not fatiguing. I do have this tunes with a dsp. So not sure what this will do just dropped into a factory setup.

Shipping was a little slow in coming. Plus it was a good high frequency reproduction but not a scintillating sound. Good reproduction for tweeters maybe it was my TDA ic amp was the problem.

I incorporated these tweeters in a DIY boom box. Clean, crisp and clear highs.

Sounds low burnt out 2 of them in less than 3 months i would not recommend them to my worst enemy

These are amazing tweeters! I have used them in two pairs of speakers and am thrilled with the smooth, detailed and crisp highs. Highly recommended!

Great little tweeter. I really can't tell for sure, but the lower freqs seem very clean.
