This box is extremely poorly constructed, and when you try to return it, it will take ages to get you money - I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY REFUND. Oypla never reply to emails, they ignore the customer completely. I have never ever had any trouble with Amazon sellers before, and this company has no concept of customer care.

The squirrel feeder arrived on time, its light wieght, will probably have to replace it at the end of this winter. The front of the feeder has a thin clear plastic window that the squirrels can pull out allowing the food to fall out onto the ground!

We have a squirrel coming into our yard so hopefully now it's got nuts in he will feed. It's a good quality box easy to put up

I chose this because it was the same design as my old one, thinking the squirrels would be very familiar with how to access it. ( my old one had lost the clear plastic slot-in). It was put in close proximity to the old. I noticed 4 days after it was put up that the clear plastic slot-in was cracked and I didn't know how. I turned the slot-in the other way up. The nuts in the box didn't appear to have been accessed. On the 5th day, I saw one adult squirrel eventually "find" it. He was taking a nut or two from the platform that I assumed had fallen there when I put them in. After seeing all the adverts/short films etc of how clever squirrels are, negotiating " squirrel-agility tests, I found this squirrel isn't one of them!! After eating one or two nuts from the platform he proceeded to sit on the lid and couldn't work out he needed to lift it to gain access, just like the old box. He was even chewing bits of wood off the top of the box. After he left I checked the box and discovered another crack in the plastic and realised it's not fitting in the slots as it should and it's not thick enough. Abit like my squirrel at the moment!! So if your squirrels are more intelligent it would probably be fine otherwise look for a better finished item. 🐿

This item is made from cheap soft wood staple-gunned together with no jointing or thought to how it looks....The wood has not been waterproofed or treated at all so, as soon as it rains, it soaks up the water and, if left like that will rot extremely quickly. We had to treat the outside ourselvesDefinitely not worth the money

This squirrel feeder is very sturdy, well made & looks good on the fence.

This little feeder has been SO badly constructed and finished that I had to re-drill the mounting slots, remove the feeble hinge to reposition it so that the lid would close properly, and sand down (i.e. finish) all the rough and jagged edges everywhere. It's made of the cheapest softwood - which I was prepared for due to the price and the product pictures - but it's not been sealed with anything, and is therefore not fit for outdoor use. Until I sealed it inside and out myself with a non-odorous and animal-safe product.I hate to think what child labour has been used in some far-off gulag to make this pathetic product.
