This is a limited edition Tamiya 1/48 scale assembly model kit of the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, a lightweight, carrier-based fighter aircraft employed by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service from 1940 to 1945. This kit features the A6M5 No.53-102 flown by Tetsuzo Iwamoto, one of Japan's top fighter aces in World War II. Model kit highlights: New decals have been added to depict No.53-102 flown by Tetsuzo Iwamoto. (Tamiya Item #: 61103 + new decals). The main wing flaps can be set in up or down positions. The 300 liter drop tank can be removed even after assembly. One-piece engine cowl is precisely reproduced and the cowl flaps can be posed in either open or closed positions. 4 pilot figures in various lifelike poses are included.
