While this looks like a complete kit, it's missing a necessary tool, a wide pry tool (in case the battery tape tears) to complete the job. The small pamphlet which comes with the kit, while detailed is tiny and doesn't give enough detail on how to complete the task. There doesn't appear to be a website associated with homsum.com. I watched a few Youtube videos to figure out how to do the install. At some point you will need to peel battery tape to remove the battery but if this tape breaks (which it likely will) then you must pry the battery away from the phone which is secured quite well to the phone. This is the tricky part because the pry tool which comes with the kit is about the size of a guitar pick and was useless. I tried using the pry tool for the cable leads but it snapped immediately. I ended up using the flat part of the tweezers to try to pry the battery out. This tore the battery covering and exposed the innards of the battery to the metal tweezer head, which started smoking. Yikes! If you've ever seen a battery fire, not good... So I immediately stopped and took the battery outside to my garage where I looked for something plastic to continue prying the battery. I ended up using a plastic putty knife but bent the battery quite a bit when removing. So from everything I've seen, you're not supposed to do this. I then had to use some electrical tape to wrap the old battery up so it wouldn't catch fire. And now, of course, I don't want it in my house. I also thought about just setting the battery outside but it was raining, these batteries, when exposed can't get wet either. This is why there are companies that do this professionally, so be careful if you're a do-it-yourselfer like me. Again, a the right tools with this kit would be very helpful and I'd give it a higher rating.

So when all was said and done the battery works great and my iPhone 6 works like new.Don't underestimate how tiny the screws are and they are all varying length.To help me keep them in order I used a magnetic pad to duplicate their placementAlso have good lighting and a magnifying glass available.Most challenging part of battery replacement was removing the old battery. The old adhesion strips are very strong.Make sure to fully discharge the old battery before doing replacement. Battery case is very thin and easily punctures causing sparking and smoking.I ultimately used plastic tool included and a very narrow screwdriver to slowly pry out old battery. Credit card method which they suggested I found to be useless. Work slowly prying on side and bottom edge of battery avoiding volume controls on side of batteryAll in all took about an hour with most time spent removing old battery.

The product gave you everything that you needed to get the job done except the magnet for finding dropped screws. For the money this is great but be sure to set aside an hour or more to do the job. Give yourself a nice work space with plenty of separate containers to hold the screws and parts as you disassemble and reassemble the device. The battery adhesive piece was challenging for me as I wanted to apply it backwards with the exposed piece for removing the battery on the wrong side. This piece could have been called out better but they do give you 2 in the kit... its like they know.However, with the challenges of the install over the payoff of the new battery is great! Its like a new phone and I can see the battery health in Settings as it seems to be holding up well.

Parts are tiny and too much to take apart. If you have never done this before I would recommend paying someone to do it.

The battery in my Iphone 6 swelled and was about to burst. I purchased this kit and was able to replace the battery in about and hour or so. The instructions were OK at best but there are many videos on line to follow. Saved me from having to buy a new phone!
