When you order this sign, and are using a lap top, you also need to buy a connection piece that has a USB port on one side and a six prong female port on the other side. I bought this sign to be displayed over the sound booth at my church. I use it to send messages to the pulpit. Its works great with a lap top, the remote takes some patience.

It would be great to know exactly where online to get a user manual because the one that was with it was no help. I tried doing a search using the make and model number by itself, along with 'manual,' 'user manual,' and 'program' and the only results that came up were for sites selling the item.I've had it for over a month and was finally able go figure what the password is and how to enter it, as well as enter messages. But I want it to show one message after the other, not the same message repeating itself.

although it finally does what it is supposed to do...it was difficult and still learning how to operate it. no directions,for the remote and/or the software,software was difficult to get on to a computer and the connector (a serial port) thank god i keep an old laptop. but it works.

This sign is a great display, and works well in my wife's classroom. The programming interface, however, is pretty terrible. It could at least come with a manual. I had to figure it all out, and write it down, which was a pain.

Buyer beware. Only runs on XP and older operating systems. Finally found a computer with XP and correct hookup touse. Very easy after that.

We set it in the window of our financial services company and it runs a message for people walking by to see. Should be effective for us.

Upon receiving the product it seemed strange there were no graphics, product number, nothing on the packaging. After opening the packaging it was even stranger that there was no identification on the product. No product number, no serial number, nothing. Even more concerning was - no operating instructions.I contacted the supplier to see if I could get an operating manual. Guess what -- the first thing they needed was the product number and serial number.Eventually I received a PDF file with the needed instructions. The instructions are poorly written and, at best, confusing.After several hours I was able to do some very basic programming using the remote.Programming is very difficult and, as a result, you probably won't use the product very much.Don't buy it.
