Easy and functional
The order was delivered within four days of purchase. BatteryMart was the merchant, and they did a nice job packaging to prevent breakage. The solar panel works well in all light conditions, even on cloudy days. I use it to maintain the 2 deep cycle batteries on my travel trailer, as we will only use it once or twice over the winter. The hookup was very easy, with all parts clearly marked and set up nicely for install. Its keeps the batteries charged at about 12.5 volts, which is ok for batteries at rest. I wouldn't expect this product to charge the batteries if they were near dead, you would need more solar panels to put out more charge. I've checked the output of the panel with a voltmeter, and it puts out about 1.15 amps, which is a little better than the advertised 1 amp.

It works great until it doesn’t
I purchased this product 3-4 years ago and just found the panel is defective. I'm not sure how long it has not been functioning but have had to replace 2 sets of batteries within a 2 year span (4batteries). I figured the batteries were bad since the panel had been working without showing any issues. What I find out is when I test the panel connection my volt meter it’s reading over 21volts. I kept second guessing myself until I went through the 2nd set of batteries (which really sucks because I’m using high end marine deep cycle batteries. For the most part thr panel worked great for years, but it’s been an expensive replacement for batteries and now a new panel is required.

Works great even in cloudy weather.
Yes, I own this Battery Minder product too! My wife thinks I am a battery freak! Maybe I am!! So far, so good, with this unit as I would expect from this company. It is quite durable. Own this unit more than 2 years. I use it for a service truck AGM (non-leaking/sealed) battery hooked to a power inverter 12 to 120 volt. I bolted the solar panel to the top of my camper shell. Then installed control unit next to my inverter inside of camper shell. Unit works well and no problems to date. Wish I could hook another panel to it though. Manufacturer says you should not connect more solar panels. But I could always use another charge controller to add on another solar panel addition. As always, monitor your battery voltage after sundown and battery has "rested" for proper state of charge. Unit came with a quick reference unit for state of voltage/charge.Daniel

CHEAP
Had this on my RV for 14 months at that time it stopped working. Took it off the roof and pulled it apart to determine the the wires were corroded and broken (why it stopped working) and the entire unit was rusted. At least for me... if you are going to buy, be sure to get extended warranty or better yet a different manufaturer.

Maintains a battery pretty good
Lots of wires & not a terribly compact install, but it keeps the battery in my beater F250 that doesn't get a lot of use ready to go. Its had a few dead batteries needing a jump to get going before the charger, not even close after getting it.I am using a small tissue box sized panel with it rather than the panel that came with it as that panel is just a bit to big to easily mount for now. I'll be using the bigger panel elsewhere. There are wires from the panel to the main controller, wires from the controller to the cigarette lighter plug (one of mine is an always on plug, so conveniently works for this) or the battery & yet another set of wires from the controller to the status monitor box. It makes for a decent pile of wires sitting on the dash. Probably not as much of an issue with a more permanent install. I wish they would have put the status stuff on the controller rather than on the external box. It's not that useful, at least to me in my situation (might be more useful if you were charging a battery on a work trailer or RV) & I might just remove mine entirely to minimize the rats nest.

Slain charger
Instructions are poor. Charging 4 batteries is questionable. Can batteries be partially discharged and connected to solar system? Can batteries of different charges be out in four system?

Brings sunshine to your batteries
This is awesome for a boat dock with limited or interrupted shore power. It will keep up the boat battery bank (2 battery array) easily, even in limited sun. The panel is very powerful. You will need to buy a control box:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005UPANU2/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1With a backing panel:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005UPERKY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1And a waterproof gland:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KU2U6V0/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1With this, you can build a nice waterproof control box.Be sure to check your sun travel paths thru the day so you put it in the best sun. It is easy to misjudge where the sun really hits.
