Game changer
I used to have restless nights and now I can sleep soundly. I would personally have gone up on weights but lesson learned. I love this product overall but washing is a hassle. You have to tie the top sheet to the weight and it becomes time consuming. Overall, the product itself is wonderful and works as intended.

Weighted blanket that keeps you cool
Very happy with this blanket. My other one was 20 lbs and had me overheating most nights. This one is smaller and lighter, and the cotton definitely helps with heat. There's a thermal cover included, but I've never touched it since that's the opposite of why ordered this. One review complained about it not fitting two people, which is true, but isn't something I've ever considered with a weighted blanket

Worth it.
The blanket is very heavy and takes some getting used to. Once you are used to it though you don't notice it but instead notice anxiety and agitation wash away. It's like being hugged in a very snug and secure way.Without the added cover the blanket it is really cold. It does not hold heat very well at all. I hope this is nice in the summer. As of right now it requires the cover and perhaps another blanket or two. The glass beads just don't hold heat and the moment you move the heat leaves immediately. It is difficult at first to remove the cover for washing and then reinsert the blanket inside. I recommend counting the tie rings as one side has more then the other. Once you realize which side matches to the amount of rings it becomes just a matter of umph as it is a heavy product.I am severely mentally ill. This products helps me amazingly well. I highly recommend it. I believe its worth the money.

Improves sleeping
I typically do not write reviews but have done a few here and there for really good or poor products. Through the years, I've had off and on insomnia where I'm awake for hours during the night. A week ago it was happening again and my normal course of actions (exercising more, staying up later, etc.) were not working. I saw an ad about this blanket and decided to give it a shot. Got the king size which was really rolling the dice since my poor husband didn't know what it was going to be like. First night we both got under the thing and hated it - husband described it like going to the dentist when u get x-rays and they put that weighted protection over you. Then after we complained about it for a few minutes, we were both out cold for the entire night. Still wasn't sure about it and we got in bed the following night and once more hated the thing. And once more, we fell asleep all night. I really knew it was working when my daughter complained the next day about the thunderstorm that woke her up - and she is a very sound sleeper where it takes a lot to wake her up. I was like, what thunderstorm?? Amazing. The other huge positive is with my other comforter I was waking up hot and sweating. Thought for sure the heaviness of this would be an issue for me. Nope, I never seem to get really hot. So here's the thing - we both still hate it every night when we get in it - we are getting used to it, but just don't like how heavy it firs feels. By morning, I don't really notice the weight of it at all. Given the great sleep we are getting, we are still going to continue to use it. I do like that it comes with two duvet covers that are washable. I washed the lighter weight one and came out pretty good. It helps that when it arrives, one of the duvets is on it as you can see how it's tied inside. Yes, the ties are a pain, but I wouldn't do it any differently as it really helps keeping it in place in the duvet. I don't know how many countless times previous down comforters never stayed in place. This one has specific holes along the edges and one on each side where the ties in the inside of the duvet loop through it to tie in place. Then has a zipper at the bottom of it once everything is tied in place. It's a pain to move it around because it's so heavy. But what can I say? The thing really works and we are willing to trade in our dislike of the heaviness for the deep sleep we are getting. Well worth the money. If you are wondering if it would work for you, I suggest giving it a try for a few nights. It definitely has worked so far for me!

Not For Me
The blanket arrived promptly. It was in a plastic zippered bag. The zipper was broken as was the box in several spots. It was a large enough box but absent anything to hold the bag/ blanket in place, the box suffered damage and the bag zipper was broken. I expected better quality/care in packaging. The blanket came with one duvet cover with the blanket tied inside I like that as I didn't have to put the blanket in the cover. There was no second, "cool" duvet cover included though I believe that was part of the deal. The 80x87 blanket hung over the foot of my bed the first night and it kept sliding off the bed during the night. The second night I rotated the blanket so it would hang off the sides of the bed but it slid here and there anyway. The weighting moved within the cover as I might have expected. I slept on it for 3 nights and didn't sleep any better than normal. I still had insomnia and fitful sleep. It's not that the blanket was uncomfortable. The winter, fleece cover was soft and I was plenty warm. I don't think I did not sleep better because this is a bad blanket, but I'm not sure it's the best blanket. This being my first experience with weighted blankets, pros/cons, shoulds/should nots, etc., here's what I know. There are a ton of opinions out there on how large and how heavy a blanket, how many ties the cover should have, whether you should use a cover, whether you can/should wash the blanket, etc., etc. I'll continue to look at different blankets and consider various weights and fabrics.Originally after unpacking, I went to the mfg website to ask about the second cover and found no way to chat or email my question though I was able to leave a voicemail. As of today when I left the blanket at UPS I've not heard anything from them. The quality of their website and apparent lack of customer service options, especially after the sale, are especially telling. Caveat Emptor!
