Great for BBQ. Customer service is solid. Overall 5-star product and seller.
In June, 2014, I purchased the Grill Logic gloves in the one-size fits most size in a search for something to handle and prepare BBQ pork butt, ribs, brisket, etc. The grips on the gloves work very well to control BBQ/smoked meat, which is generally slick from rendered fat. Although your hands can get hot if you pull a pork butt taken right off the smoker (internal meat temp at about 190 to 200 degrees F), if you let the meat rest for a while, the gloves will do their job in protecting you from the heat. Size is an issue for me as the one-size fit most, which was the only available size at the time, is not big enough for a comfortable fit, but I've made them work for me.Grill Logic emailed me after my order to ask my opinion on the product and I responded with my opinions stated in this review. I recently received a follow-up email, almost 9 months from my original order, informing me of the bigger sizes now available and was given a coupon to order replacement gloves. I've repurchased the gloves in XXL and I'll use the smaller gloves as a spare set. Overall, the product and customer service seem worthy of a 5-star review.

Wish I had bought a pair of these sooner.
Ever since I've started using cast iron pans and bought a dutch oven I've been trying to find an oven mitt that would keep me from getting burned and not completely hinder movement. I'd seen these things on TV before and thought they looked kind of cool but had never had the chance to try them until now. This morning was the first time that I used them (one of them actually) for an extended period and they performed quite well. I woke up and started cooking breakfast for myself which the kids then decided that they wanted, so I had to cook some more. Then my wife got the notion that she also wanted what I was making, so I had to just keep going. By the time I was done cooking, the skillet had been over the flames for about 25 minutes. As usual, I was a little bit leery about touching the handle on the skillet since most of the time it feels uncomfortably hot or I even get burned when I use the mitts that we've got. I was very pleasantly surprised to only feel a heat, nothing even remotely close to what I was expecting anyway. The material is pretty stiff at first, but when you consider that you have a lot more dexterity than with your standard oven mitts it's not even something that can be considered a con. Size-wise they are about perfect for me, but when my wife puts them on it's just comical. But it's just as well that she doesn't wear them, because with her skills in the kitchen we would soon be finding out if they were flame-resistant as well.

I usually don't review things when I am disappointed with the fit when purchasing online
I usually don't review things when I am disappointed with the fit when purchasing online, fit is always a bit of a guess. However, the maker has sent several emails to my personal email address, so I figure I will leave feedback as they requested. The gloves worked well to move steak around one the grill as well as handling a large pot roast when cutting it on the meat slicer. However, the sizing of the glove was really restrictive when trying to handle the seasoning jar, the BBQ sauce bottle, and my cup. I like to be able to use my hands for handling hot things, but some things are a bit of a nuisance.--- Update --- Six months later. Made ribs on the grill yesterday and was looking forward to trying these out to see if they would simplify moving/flipping the racks of ribs around the grill during the grill process. Moving an entire rack of baby back ribs can be a little inconvenient with a pair of tongs. Flipping the first rack was easy, but after that it all went downhill. After the first basting and turning, the gloves were completely useless. As soon as they had sauce on them, the gloves wouldn't grip anything else, not even the other glove. I pulled them off and went back to the tongs. I'll see if I can work out the kinks.

Great Gloves From a Great Company
I've used the gloves a couple times but really put them through their paces yesterday with some pulled pork. I use a Pit Barrel Cooker that requires that I remove and replace hot rebar hanging rods from the cooker itself when placing and removing the pork. The gloves worked amazingly well when touching the hot surfaces of the cooker including the lid and the hanging rods. I was able to manipulate the pork shoulder comfortably when I wrapped it in aluminum foil and was able to remove the foiled pork without issue once it reached its final temperature. The only time when I experienced too much heat was when I attempted to pull the pork with my hands while wearing the gloves. I didn't let the meat rest at all, whether or not it needs to be rested is debatable, so the pork was nearly at 200 degrees F so I wasn't surprised. I had to use remove the gloves and use a fork because the pork was just too hot.The only real issue I've had with the gloves is that after I had tried to pull the pork they were greasy and it made it nearly impossible to take them off. After I washed them and got the grease off they were just fine.I think you guys have a great product and I look forward to continue using it. My wife even told me that she likes the heart-shaped grippers that cover them.Robert from Grill Logic personally emailed me asking my opinion of the gloves and I was very impressed with him and their interest in my opinions.

These gloves work very well for me when I'm Grilling. I've used them to remove a chicken off the spit, to turn Shish-kabob's {easier than tongs},and to remove and clean the BBQ grate's {while still hot}. I also like the eyelet holes to hang the gloves on a "S" hook after I've washed them when I'm done cooking. I have a Man's average sized hands and find them snug enough {but not to snug to put on} to use when it's really needed to handle smaller item's, like when I am turning the Shish-kabob's on the Grill. "FYI" I would suggest you purchase a larger {longer} second pair that are Heat Resistant. I use a longer pair when I am Deep Frying a Turkey, or I am going to put my hands in Hot or boiling water, ex. when removing ear's of cooked corn on the cob, this add's more protection from splattering grease and water. But when I'm grilling I like the shorter "Grill Logic" gloves because you can put them on and remove them easier and faster.
