Absolutely loved this audio book. I started listening to learn more of involvement of Vikings in 1066 but leaned so much more of their earlier influence in European and midEast history through trade and innovation. Astounding research and well written. A great story

This outstanding lecture series finds a great balance between overview and detailed analysis. The instructor is clearly enthused and knowledgeable with this subject. The organization seems unusual at first, but as the lectures develop, it becomes clear that the instructor was purposeful and logical in how the lectures were organized. I will be hunting for other lectures from the same instructor.

Great Courses has been a staple in my 23 yrs of home education. Some can be a little dry but always informative. This Vikings is one of the best study's I've seen. We are Swedish and have done afew. Love this one.

Good series. I mistakenly got it in cassette form instead of CD and that complicated life. If you have Scandinavian connections and like Viking stories, the author is very knowledgeable.

I had this set with cassettes and decided to modernize it. I'm very fond of it!

Prof. Harl is excellent lecturer, especially good at narrating complex political developments. I would recommend any and all of his courses.
