Her Sweet Alpha (The Stone Pack Book 1)

I gave this 4.5 out of 5. I thought it was a great fated mates book and I loved the hero and heroine. Halle was a strong, smart woman who was not a pushover and made the alpha work for her. Dade was a great alpha yet the author tempered his personality so he was loving and unapologetic without being an alpha-hole. Something I LOVED about this book is that it was categorized simply as a paranormal romance without the IR, BWWM codes. By not including those acronyms, it set it as a normal couple without the labels like books with white couple are and this was super refreshing. ((Spoilers)) -It would have been better if Lamar tried to kidnap Halle BEFORE she became a wolf. He was no threat to her after she became a wolf so it didn’t add any suspense or anything. -The author mentioned how Dade couldn’t get drunk. Later on at the party, she repeats this again and explains it to the reader. Nothing big, but I remember reading it and thinking “wait, didn’t she mention this already?” Apart from this, it was a great read and I look forward to reading Missy’s story. I’ll definitely check out more from this author.

This was the first time I've read a story by this author. I found it really good and it kept my interest. The H and h were likeable as well as the secondary characters (their relatives & pack members). The only trouble came from a pack female and the h's ex-boyfriend, who were dealt with. I really liked that this was an interracial romance, which I hadn't seen before. I didn't like that the h had to be changed into a werewolf to be with the H. I don't like it when the h has to be changed to whatever the shifter is in order to be with him (or vice versa). That's my personal preference, so I probably won't be reading anymore shifter books by this author. There was also a good amount of grammatical errors that should've been caught by the editor (including wrong verb tense & extra words used in a sentence that I had to read that sentence more than once to understand the sentence). All in all, a good story.

I really like Thayer King's work. A whole bunch. An Autobuy for me. Her infrequent publishing breaks my bank everytime because it's always outside my book budget 😆. This book was cute. Did I fell in love the first time I read it? No. Was it my favorite King novel? No. Was it bad? No. Did I enjoy it? Most definately! It had all the elements of a Thayer King novel: heat (I love how she writes physical love), forceful hero, good heroine and easily followed storyline. It took me two readings spaced weeks apart to firmly place this novel midrange in my Thaye King novel rankings. It had a great plot, likable characters, steam, resolution and a cute happy ending. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in a possesive, sweet alpha/ kind , practical female lead and the simple yet unique storyline that brings them together. Buy It! It will be a nice addition to your collection.

So, this book wasn't horrible, however, it wasn't superb either. It was simply okay. The author had a tendency to explain the same information over & over again. It became monotonous to continue reading repetitive info that wasn't necessary. I felt Ms. King was trying to fill up space often. Also a more thorough description of the characters was needed. Especially the way the H views the h. How her breast look to him, the color of her skin, her smile, not just her smell. Character build is not only important, it's hot. Lastly, the chemistry between the h & H just felt a little off. As if they weren't connecting, probably due to the fact that they were on a "limited" time frame to mate. It didn't flow well & made their relationship come across as disingenuine. Neither one them stood up to the outside forces that tried to interfere with their bond the way they should have. Luke warm reactions from Alpha males & females defeats the meaning of Alpha. A true Alpha (in my opinion) should always exude power, dominance & fierce protection...even a sweet one.

Great drama and real true love. Loyalty, faithfulness, drama and the writer held my interest til I finished the book. Can't wait to read the next one!!

Dade Stone, the Alpha of his pack, is nearing his 30th year and he needs to find is mate. The problem is, he's not to motivated to do so. He's become used to the status quo and to him, if he find her perfect, if he doesn't , oh well. Good thing fate has other plans. Halle Fielding has been disappointed in the love department and is really not looking to make the same mistake more than once. When she meets Dade she notices his big sexy body, but she notices something else about him and she's not sure she can accept that something else. Too bad or maybe good for her Dade doesn't take no for an answer. Dade and Halle are really sweet together and their story is just as sweet with scorching hot love scenes. There is a little trouble with an Ex who can't seem to let go, and the delusional wanna be mate who can't believe they were not the chosen one. But don't let the Sweet Alpha fool you because Dade will allow nothing and no one to come between what he deems as his and Halle, when she finds her footing, is no wilting flower either. So if you're looking for a sweet read with a little drama you should pick up Sweet Alpha.

Der Alpha Werwolf Dade (der Name ist eigentlich irreführend, statt "Dattel" sollte er eigentlich "Pfirsich", also Peach heißen, so weich ist er) wartet bis kurz vor seinem 30sten Geburtstag bis er endlich die perfekte Frau findet. Halle, die perfekte, aber menschliche Frau findet ihn zwar ganz sexy, hat aber Angst davor selbst zum Werwolf zu werden, wenn sie sich mit ihm verbindet. Das ist der Auftakt zur Geschichte. Eine gefühlte Ewigkeit später haben die beiden abendlich miteinander telefoniert, während sie sich an unterschiedlichen Orten befinden. Halle wird ständig von ihrem Ex, ihrer Cousine, ihren Kollegen und ihrer Oma bedrängt doch bloß nichts mit dem "bösen Werwolf " anzufangen. Irgendwann kommt Dade dann zu Halle, die sich doch für ihn entschieden hat und die beiden heiraten. Dann ziehen sie bei Dade ein und Halle trifft die Mitglieder seiner Familie die genauso distanzlos sind wie Halles Familie. Bis dahin hatte ich schon so ziemlich das Interesse verloren wie es weitergeht. Viel Bla,Bla , keine Entwicklung der Story und langweilige Personen. Dade ist total wild auf Halle lässt sich aber in einer Tour vertrösten. Halle ist antriebslos und zeigt kaum eigene Persönlichkeit. Mal sehen ob ich Lust habe die Geschichte zu Ende zu lesen...

What a great love story! I couldn't seem to put this book down! I'm glad Dade found his beautiful mate Halle! I wish there was more to the story to see what comes next! I liked that book had a great balance between the actual story and the sexual content in the story. It wasnt too over the top like other books sometimes are. If you like books about love, werewolves, and sex, give this book a try!

I enjoyed reading this story. It had me totally engrossed and cheering for the Hero and Heroine. I won't give away any spoilers in my review, all I'll say it read this book!

For such a quick read it was very entertaining. The chemistry and heat between the main characters was believable and not over done. I liked the small portion of resistance from the h and that the H was still so patient and understanding. Definitely something i would reread when im in need of a palate cleanser or in the mood for a quick spicey read!!

This was such a good read. I loved the characters, their romance developing and the sexiness in general. Will definitely be reading again.
