This is the perfect cooler for fishing for smaller salt water species such as speckled trout, and trout, whiting, spanish mac, etc. They easily hold ice for 3 days when it is well packed. The wheels are great and large enough to maneuver easily. The handle is substantial and has not failed in about 10 years of use. The hinges did start to fail after a lot of abuse. I replaced one, and added a second set and mounted them next to the old ones. It has been that way for about 3 or 4 years and has not shown any issues. I ordered another of these and use it often as well. I like these coolers so much that I ordered one for a friend of mine and a fourth to keep as a back up for later. Great job Coleman!

Just Too Darn Small
I really wanted to like this cooler. The 70 Qt. wheeled model took too much space in the back of my SUV. It took nearly every inch side to side in the back of my Explorer, although I liked the design better, I brought it back...just too big. I also would have had some difficulty lifting the 70 Qt. into my vehicle when the cooler was fully packed, so I gave this one a shot. I had to replace an old cooler with wheels that had a plastic latch that broke, that I think was an Igloo. I loved it. The plastic latch is a serious design flaw on it though. Wheels were a must, so my choices were limited. The design of this cooler, how the wheels are placed, took away from needed space inside the cooler, kinda like the back of some vehicles when the rear wheels of the vehicle intrude on the cargo space. The bottom of the cooler isn't flat and limits the way you can fill the cooler. It was too much of a pain in the butt to mail back, and I couldn't find it in any of the stores that were listed as carrying it, so I'm keeping it and the search continues. It did keep things cold, so if you want this cooler for beverages only, this may be the cooler for you. Meanwhile I'll probably continue to use my old cooler for travel and tie the lid down, and keep this cooler for small needs or drinks only. Disappointed.

Maybe I just got a dud
First use and it leaked poultry brine all over my kitchen floor. Oh what fun to clean raw poultry puddle. Coleman used to mean quality.

Does not stack up to others
I recently purchased this Coleman Xtreme 50 qt on wheels. it has been just fine for keeping the beer cold for several hours, however, the real test came when I went to the beach last week. We had 3 coolers of which one was my Coleman Xtreme. The Coleman went head to head with a 5-day Igloo and a 5-day Rubbermaid and by an enormous margin, the Coleman lost. both 5-day coolers had plenty of ice cubes remaining to keep drinks cold even after 3 full days, whereas the Coleman was down to almost water after 24 hours. I was very disappointed. I'll likely move to an Igloo or Rubbermaid in the future.

good, but can be leaky
We purchased this in our quest for a "good, high quality cooler that we could use forever." obviously, the "Coleman" name is well known. after we bought it we realized 2 other friends had it. :) the only complaint i had was that when it's pretty full of water (ice melted after a weekend of camping but we wanted to keep the beer cold), it leaked while pulling it and again in the car. we didn't quite have the ice staying power of other reviews i've read, but it was a hot weekend, the cooler was opened frequently, and warm beverages were added to it. overall i'm satisfied with it, but i don't know i'd call it amazing.on a side note, the first cooler we got we got out of the box, took the sticker off, and went to pull it and the handle came off. it wasn't an easy fix so we exchanged it through the amazon website-- who knew exchanges could be so easy! we had our new cooler two days later and didn't pay an extra dime! we just had to put it back in the box, print the shipping label from amazon and drop it off at UPS (our choice, they could have picked it up).

Great cooler for the price
While I don't know if this cooler will keep ice for 6 days, it certainly will go for 4 plus days even with frequent opening and closing. I originally was going to spend the money and buy a Yeti, but didn't like the fact that you cannot get a Yeti with wheels. If you have ever lifted a Yeti, you know that they are heavy even when they are empty. I needed something that I could roll down on the dock and put on my boat without straining my back or needing a second person. Most all of the reviews I read that said that this was the best cooler out there not named Yeti. Also, you can get this one for third of the price. This is a good quality cooler.

Not all it's cracked up to be!
this cooler is not any better than the other much cheaper one that I already had. It sure doesn't make it 6 days except in the late Fall or early Spring... not Summer!

One Star
Handle broke during the first time use. The stuff I put in was not even very heavy.
