Eh... It's "original" but has black pepper, garlic, white pepper, pineapple juice, liquid smoke, brown sugar, honey...and more. I like it. I like the flavor.. so I won't give it less stars than this... though there could be no venison and I'd have no idea. I can really only taste the flavoring. Really just feels like they put in 5% venison to some spiced-up beef jerky and market it as venison :/ .....I feel kinda bad giving it only 3 stars as the quality of meat looks and tastes great. It's good jerky don't get me wrong.. but not what I was looking for.

Ok I bought this because I had a hankering for venison jerky. Saw them said why not and got the original flavor. It has a soft texture that will just disappear in your mouth and with a whole lot of marinaded flavor it very similar to a typical jerky you would pickup at any store maybe a bit on the sweeter side. Which if you love this perfect for you honestly its a good flavor. But... not for me I am more a texture eater I like a jerky you can gnaw on a bit, dare I say a bit more dehydrated. Also the marinade nearly overpowered any venison flavor which defeated the purpose because I wanted venison with a bit of jerky flavor. Its good if you like jack links but if you want something different then that try a different brand.

If I could rate this zero stars, I absolutely would. In fact, I don’t even think this product is deer jerky at all since it tastes nothing like venison- it tastes exactly like cheap gas station beef jerky. Highly unimpressed, will never purchase this brand again. 0/10 would never recommend to anyone. Also, extremely overpriced considering how lackluster it tasted.

Tastes good. Could use a little bit more in the package with ann increased portion size but overall good.

I liked this one. It was chewiest of the products which I have so far purchased from this company, but as someone who is accustomed to eating venison burgers and other things derived from deer whenever one of my more rustic relatives gets lucky, I was fully armed with that knowledge at the time of purchase. It did not disappoint me, and the flavor was excellent. I bought the original, and might consider buying some other flavor in the future, given that this one pleased me (and my dog, who wouldn't stop crying until I gave her a piece).

I got $16 (with shipping even with Prime) for 2 sad pieces of jerky is a little crazy, it’s fine jerky and I want to eat more venison but I might look for better deals elsewhere unfortunately

I loved the jerky. It's a little pricey for the small amount in a package, but I would still purchase it again.
