Good Kits, Excellent Instructions!
I bought two IFixit battery kits in May, for friends phones. They were for an iPhone 6S and iPhone 7. Neither person wanted to give up their phone long enough for me to replace the battery, LOL. Finally, I was able to do one on 6/29, and the other one was done today, 7/7. Both kits included everything needed to make the repairs, except for the hair dryer to heat the adhesive for separating the phone's case. The instructions on IFixit's web site are very detailed and easy to follow. The screws in the iPhones are very tiny. The iFixit kits include a screwdriver handle with three interchangeable tips for the various screws. I have some clear plastic 2 ounce portion cups that I keep on my workbench, for storing parts while working on a project. They came in handy to store the small screws and parts that were removed from the iPhone in the various steps of the battery replacement. Each step got its own portion cup, and the cups were stacked on each other. This made it easy to keep track of which screws go with which bracket, taptic engine, etc., and in what order they were removed. If you decide to use this cup method, you will need about six of them. You don't need lids, as the cups are just nested together with the parts in them. When you reinstall the two pentalobe screws that are in the bottom cup, you are finished! I have an inexpensive flip-up magnifier head set for working on small projects. It was very useful while working with the iPhones, particularly in removing the old adhesive that is used for the waterproof seal. You need to make sure all of that adhesive is removed before installing the new adhesive that's included in the kit.

Did wonders for my phone
My phone’s original battery was behaving erratically. Things like turning off at 100% only to reboot to show 10% to then reboot again to show 80%. So I knew it was time for a replacement. Kit arrived with a battery and almost (I’ll get to that in a second) all the tools necessary to open the phone and remove the old one. I would say that it was an easy install, but not a fast one. This isn’t as simple as popping off a back panel and swapping out a battery. There’s screws of various sizes and head shapes, strong adhesives to remove, and delicate cables to disconnect. Read the instructions available online a time of two before even starting the process. And continue to consult them as you’re going along. In addition to the tools that came with the kit, I had to use hairdryer to heat up the adhesive to weaken its bond. And it spots where that failed, I used a very small amount of acetone (they recommend 90% isopropyl alcohol, of which I didn’t have) to further weaken the adhesive fusing the battery to the back of the phone. Again it took some time and patience, but was well worth having a more reliable phone again.

Hard to beat iFixit for older parts
Battery life in this particular phone has seen significant improvement since installation, which is no surprise. The sealant gasket around the screen seems to be of good quality, and obviously since this is iFixit, the battery also appears to be excellent quality with accurate specifications (according to the phone's OS). The tools provided were helpful, but I do have some of my own. This just added to my collection, which is always a good thing. Thank you iFixit for being such a positive force in the right-to-repair market.

Easy install and ifixit batteries are always fine but what a ton of extra stuff.
I've always had good luck with ifixit stuff and I love that they're huge right to repair advocates. Installation was easy with the included tools, and their batteries are usually better than the lesser quality knockoffs that are out there. But I gotta say.... I really wish there was an option on here or their site for just the battery from ifixit. I spent some time looking and I couldn't find anything besides this kit. Yeah I used the tools because they were in the box and right in front of me but this is probably the tenth set of tools I have to replace an iphone battery- I just don't need any more unless they change the screws. And... the amount of packaging is just a waste. It's well done and I feel bad criticizing it, but it just seems really wasteful and could maybe be done with a little bit less of it. I was actually surprised at the size of the box that everything shipped in. Again, ifixit has always been reliable and I like the company and I'm definitely not knocking them a star or anything for "over-packaging" their stuff. It's just my two cents. Otherwise I'd highly recommend this set if you're ok with the slightly higher price compared to other seller son here. You get what you pay for.

Battery Swelled After 7 Months
I bought this for my partner's iPhone 6s last Christmas and a friend who has done battery replacements on iPhones many times replaced the battery. A few weeks ago the phone started behaving strangely and a few minutes ago my partner noticed that the battery had swollen so much it's pushed the screen out of place. I bought this kit because most of the other iPhone batteries I found had complaints about battery swelling. A battery company can boost the storage capacity of a battery by adding silicon to the anode, but if it isn't managed correctly it can cause battery swelling. The capacity on this battery looked like the original so I figured it didn't have silicon added to boost the capacity. Maybe it did. In any case the iPhone is now dead because of the swollen battery.

Works just as it says
I was able to swap batteries in about 40 minutes. The only issue I had was the forceps were a bit bent, so I bent one arm back to match. I did not bother with the edge adhesive-the unit is not really watertight anyway. By skipping that, I did not need to disassemble the logic/camera cables. Just set the lid at 90 degrees and hold in place against a can of corn with an elastic band. The key to the whole operation is following the instructions as to the location of where to pry the screen off, just above the headphone jack. IPhone 6S. Discharge your old battery as much as possible for safety. Kit includes standard tiny phillips head screws to replace the proprietary screws that come from Apple. Clips are at the top of the phone, opposite the screws. Also clips along the side that snap back into place easily. New battery works fine.

A good replacement part n its worth it.
This is my review of this ifixit replacement battery part. I love how they package the product they separate the tools from the parts is a plus, well package and protected, I can say its worth the $10 more I paid cuz I bought a $20 battery that comes with a generic tools its well packed but not like ifixit, unfortunately it has an drain issue so I returned it and decided to just buy this 29$ ifixit kit, I like the tools that comes with it it has ifixit brand not just a random generic tools they toss in the kit, I still have to install this battery and hoping that this battery is good as how they package their product. These are still aftermarket parts and still made in china so the quality it may last long or you still may encounter some issue.
