Nikon Diopter -2.0 Correction Eyepiece for D50/70/70S/100/200, N50/60/65/70/80/6006, Pronea, FM10 cameras

I wear glasses, I do not like wearing them while I use my camera however I could not get a clear image when I focused in my view finder. I had already attempted the focal adjustment no luck, talked to my Optometrist he suggested the diopter of -2.0. It worked perfect easy to attach, I recommend this option to those who need it but consult your optometrist first.

My Diopter was broken on my D3200 from falling damage so the viewfinder was unusable. However, my Diopter was -2 off from my vision so this corrected that! I no longer need to take it to a repair shop.I can't seem to put the rubber eye piece on so that's my -1 star.

Works completely as intended. The soft eye-boot used to cushion your eye area fit snuggly over top of this. Amazing fast shipping! Couldn't ask for more!

Works great moving the diopter correction on my Nikon D3500 from -1.5 < +0.5 to -3.5 < -1.5 which allows me to take off my glasses and focus with either nearsighted eye. The female side (Side that connects to viewfinder male connector on the camera) fit snuggly. The male side of the correction device is intended to enable reconnection of the original rubber covered view finder opening, another device to cover the viewfinder ( block stray light), a right angle viewer and other accessories. I'd purchased the viewfinder cover and a right angle viewer... Both mounted easily on the camera before I had added the Correction Eyepiece. It was impossible to mount the original viewfinder or the right angle viewer on the Correction Eyepiece... It appeared the slots on the male side of the Correction Eyepiece are to narrow.Followed suggestion of an earlier review and applied an emery board to both make the slots a little wider and round the ends of them to make entrance into them easier. It worked, after three tries. However, the process certainly weakened the outside lip of each slot, a little. Nikon should of made the Diopter Corrector correctly (No pun intended) to begin with.

Optically, this add-on lens works as advertised and corrects properly for my nearsightedness, for which the D200 built-in adjustment is not strong enough. However, I bought - and lost - two of these. They come off much too easily by simply brushing against the walls in the bag when storing the camera. Last time, I had a $20 Hoodman hoodeye connected (which snaps very securely onto this eyepiece) and must have brushed both off while walking with the camera. I don't understand why Nikon can't design this to snap into place, very much like the hoodeye does when used alone. More importantly, if Nikon were to design their cameras to provide adequate diopter adjustment for a wider range, we wouldn't need these little pieces of poor design.

Worked PERFECTLY to correct my Logitech 920HD's focal distance (literally taped over the lens)

I purchased one of these to use with my N80 and D90 to use with my eye and so that I can get my glasses out of the way. It slid on to the camera just fine. I tried to attach the DK-21 to it and the DK-21 would not fit. I whipped out a set of calipers to check the size of the grooves compared to that on the camera. I noticed that the overall width is slightly wider (0.99" on the diopter, 0.94" on the camera). I also noticed that the grooves were only about 0.05" wide and the tabs that slide into this on the DK-21 were 0.06" thick. I was able to correct the issue with an emery board. I had to trim the width to make it work with the Hoodman Eyecup (H-EyeN22)Overall, does what it advertised.I would have given it a 5 star if it worked out of the box, otherwise it works great.
