Yate Loon fans are second to none. (EDITED)
If you want 100% or more of the performance of the current leader in fans, Scythe, with about 50% or less of the price, you should go for these fans. Gentle Typhoons may be slightly quieter but these are the best cheap high speed fans around. Very high quality, you can feel it when you pick them up and mount them. They sound really powerful and well built as well. I have a Yate Loon 140mm high speed fan for exhaust and it is the same quality all around.I bought two of these to replace the loud, possibly defective MassCool fans I had on the door of my Cosmos II Ultra Tower case to cool my GPU, and in the future, there will be multiple GPUs in front of these fans so they need all of the cooling they can get. These are much quieter than the MassCools I also reviewed, and are of the same or better quality.Go go Yate Loon! Keep it up. Very happy and will reccomend your fans to all.10/31/13 edit:Bought four more of these to go with the two I bought in my original review. Still the same quality all around. No motor sound, even at they're highest speed. It's just a rather pleasing whirring air sound. Could put you to sleep if you concentrated on it enough... I now have six of these fans in my Cooler Master Cosmos II case, these push a lot of air, much more than the stock fans. Like I said before, if you don't want to pay $20+ per fan from Sycthe, these are second best. Also, for those who are political/humanist, these are not made by FoxConn, like many other computer parts... these are made by Yate Loon themselves.

These fans do keep things nice and cool though
These things work, but they are very loud and produce a high-pitched whining noise. They are just decent cheap fans. I have one on my Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo and one as an outtake fan for my case. These fans do keep things nice and cool though.

Fair product to consider again
For the price it is tough to beat especially with all the power options it comes with. One down side is that it doesn't come with the screws.

A real Yate Loon from Sidewinder Computers
As the title says this baby was a real Yate Loon and only took 2 days, via USPS, to arrive to me in a padded envelope (I only purchased one). What I used it for was to replace my Corsair HX650 PSU's ADDA fan. I voided my warranty but who cares because I had already sent this in for the same issue after 18 months of usage and they replaced it with the, then, new model of HX650 (mine was the older red labeled HX620w that was discontinued by the time I had to use my warranty). Seems those ADDA fans last about 18-24 months in those PSUs then you have to spend about 25-26 dollars to send it back to them and wait 2 to 8 weeks (depends if they are OOS or not) and wait another week to get it back. Not going through that again when I know the PSU is good just the fan's bearings died. ADDA is no longer used by Corsair and instead they use these in their current production models because they are almost identical in all specs but have sleeves not bearings and last 5k more hours than the old ADDA were supposed to because sleeve bearings do not last as long when mounted horizontal (like is in a PSU) as bearings do.I highly rate Sidewinder Computers and this fan.

One Star
I don't understand why they think it's high speed.

≈≈ these ROCK! ≈≈ (even at 5vdc)
I am running two (2) of these in a very nice "bamboo laptop cooler"; powered by one of the 5vdc USB ports. They work very well and keep the laptop running much cooler; the fans that came with the cooler were inadequate ≈≈ these ROCK, (even at 5vdc)! I want to try these powered by the full 12vdc to compare performance, (just curious.)

Can't compare to other budget fans, in a league of its own!
These, and Arctic fans are the -BEST- fans you can get for under $15.Having a high range of RPM (tops out around 1800rpm), it's silent at idle, and even when used at max, the noise very pleasant; much like a small house fan.I use two of these on my Hyper 212 EVO (great cooler), they keep my i5-4670k 81c (27c ambient), at 4.4ghz 1.220v. My case, the Corsair 330R, doesn't need much more than two intakes and one exhaust fan, so I don't think I would buy more. But if I need more fans, Yate Loons would be one of my first considerations.10/10
