Great guide to Los Angeles
They say "nobody walks in LA" but it's not true. Yes, it may not be the easiest thing to do, but LA is criss-crossed with so many nice trails that it's a real shame that people don't know about them like they should. This book has been a great help to exploring different neighborhoods and finding paths I had no idea were in my own.

List of different walks that can be taken for something "fun" to do that doesn't cost anything.
A great companion book to the Secret Stairs book. This is a collection of another 42 walks that one can take for something to do in and around Los Angeles that doesn't cost anything to do other than the cost of driving there and possibly parking in some locations. So far I've only completed two of the walks. One was Paradise Falls, in Thousand Oaks, and it was interesting to see this beautiful waterfall in the middle of a drought with nothing really around it where one would think a waterfall would be in existence.

A great insight into LA
Everyone drives around in Los Angeles, and as a result, everyone tends to miss some of the interesting sights. There's more to Los Angeles than you can see from a freeway, and this book does a great job of highlighting some of them. There are nearly four dozen different walking routes in here, and this book provides engaging narration and stories about what you'll see.The walks are sorted into 1-5 star categories in terms of difficulty, and contains all relevant information you'd need (maps, distance, duration, etc). Next time you're in Los Angeles, grab this guide and take a walk.
