Make sure you're mechanically inclined to install these. They work well and revived my worn out keyfob. This is made in China and not OEM so you will have to push the PIN out to release the key of the metal arm on the fob. You cannot use the oem one unless you want the switch button to sink into the fob. Look for Google guides to help with install. I used a watch kit to separate the key, then a hammer to push the OEM pin through the hole that connects the key to the arm. The rest should be in the included instructions. Good luck!

Relatively easy to install and a bargain that is a huge savings over replacing the whole key !

What should have taken me 20 mins took nearly 3 HOURS. The Quality of parts looks great. Very close to identical. The instructions are HORRIBLE.. BLURRY PRINT. and missing the most important part (THE SPRING AND HOW TO ACTUALLY ATTACH AND WIND UP). LUCKILY YOUTUBE was there. For me, I could NOT swap over the KEY part in it's entirety as there are differences in sizes.. The spring and ALL the mechanisms for it are a SLIGHTLY different size so nothing on the original key will actually work.. Even the metal push-button for the release of the key is SMALLER than the original so won't work. The ONLY alternative is to pop out the pin and replace the original cut key with the blank (again not in instructions). However, even THAT didn't work for me because the SLOT cut into the original key where the pin slides into and stops the key from coming out, didn't line up. I had to use a drill bit to drill the slot bigger. THEN it worked.. ALMOST.. Now comes time to WIND the spring... Instructions are HORRIBLE for this. It says to attach and rotate the entire plastic cover around.. it's MUCH easier to just rotate the KEY itself otherwise you deal with the circuit board wanting to come out and parts popping out...

I would have given it a higher rate , but it did not fit. Everything on it was perfect except the silver button to release the key. the one that came with it was smaller and had a different design than the one that was on my original key. And I was unable to use the key release button from my original key because it was to large to fit in the new fob. It says that it works for the 2014 model sonic but that was a lie.

Works well, except for the latching feature. My OEM parts won't fit because the hole for the button in this housing is too tight. Key doesn't stay latched in the closed position very well.

The replacement I needed

I had to completely destroy the old cover in order to get the board out to install in the new cover. There is a small screw under the Chevy bowtie emblem on the replacement cover that allows for it to be easily opened. My original key fob did not have this feature however, which meant I had to pry / cut it apart. It took about 20 minutes, but was well worth saving the $100+ that I spent having the dealer replace my last one.

Perfect look and feel and internal board swap a perfect fit - i opted to attempt to Swap my original key with the blank key and that’s where i had a problem - the key length itself is exact, no issue there. It is in the part where you have the button inserted into the pre cast form on the key- simply , the old button works with the old key-the new button works with the new (blank) key- Yet the old button does not work in the new key (blank) .. The included blank key hole where the button drops into is significantly thicker than the original key and original button.. can NOT swap old key to new case - the original button will sit to flush to the case and unable to push to spring the key out.. Attempted to use the new button in original key and that also does not fit.. the internal area of the new key is much thicker than the original.. so not compatible.. my only option now is to get the new blank key cut.. one note - a number stamped on the top of the new key is “2” .. the number stamped on the Top of original key is “1” What that means I’ve no idea Yet they are not compatible..

Excellent replacement for 2010 Camaro key fob shell. Took approximately 1/2 hour to complete. Works great!!!

Really liked received quickly. HOWEVER, fob was slightly different (smaller) than fob I needed to replace. Had to cut small pieces from covers....small screw very difficult to install and key doesn't retract in this new fob. After an hour or more, I now have a fob that could come apart (small screw not fully inserted)....key stuck open (not retracting) and this fob for my 2014 Chev Cruise is not a correct fit. BUt, because of low cost and alterations I needed to make, will not be returning it. Not sure how long it would long work. Overall, my experience with Amazon has been very positive. I guess this fob will, hopefully, will be my first and last negative review.

This replacement key cover worlds well. The spring part that allows the key to either be erect or folded down doesn’t work perfectly, but not a big issue. I’d order again if needed.

Everything is good except you can't just switch key. You need to knock out pin that holds the straight part of the key and take it out of old hinge install on to new hing. A few files with a metal file will allow you to install pin back in. After that it works perfect. I was missing an emblem on 1 out of the 3 I ordered. I would recommend watching a few YouTube videos. It's not as hard as it looks but you need extra tools.
