Excel 2007 VBA is the perfect VBA companion manual
This book is written in such a way as to draw one into the process of VBA discovery and start making fast progress on a project. There are other manuals out there that will show you every macro and command that are possible, few offer you a roadmap to just what is needed to make something work. This book leads you with a voice of someone helping you with a project. There are many reference manuals out there that provide a thousand pages of functional descriptions, and they have their place for those seeking some esoteric enlightenment through VBA. This is more like a trip companion who has traveled the road before and has found the journey fascinating. I think the whole tone of the book to be much less pedantic than some other manuals and much more results oriented. In conclusion I think this book rocks and I would highly recommend it to anyone about to take the VBA journey. I hope the author would consider an advanced guide with other project examples and updating for the latest Excel version.

Good start
I read several reviews of several VBA books before trying this one. I was a professional programmer for over 30 years in other languages and this was just what I needed to come up to speed

Useful Book if you have a programming background
This book would be difficult for someone who does not have a programming background. It is fine for learning VBA given an understanding of how programs work. It helps move to an object oriented approach rather than a linear programming style.

Dedicated to Access programmers
This book is oriented to Access, not to Excel.Besides that, in his VBA book John Walkenbach has 1104 pages, in his VBA book John Green and other authors have 1176 pages.Pro Excel 2007 VBA has only 361 pages. How can the review mention that this book is a complete guide? That is a lie.

Best Excel VBA resource I've seen!!!
As an Excel developer, I've found that this book is the one piece of literature that I find myself going back to over and over again. It provides some unique methodologies for importing data from external sources that are not common in other books. Here's a great review by an excel expert, it's what led me to purchase the book.[...]
