What is the best way to store it? And how long can it be stored for? (How long does it last before it goes bad?)

I stored it like I do ginger root, paper towels around it in a plastic bag in refrigerator crisper. My batch lasted for months.

NO--IT IS NOT ORGANIC. The same vendor does sell organic turmeric, but obviously for a much higher price.
