Within ten days of receiving my order for two fans both have had the USB connection ports fail by becoming disconnected from the circuit board. When the first fan broke, I returned it to Amazon and got a replacement on its way. 3 days later the second fan also failed.On the first failure I just repackaged and returned it, the 2nd failure I decided I could use the fan just with rechargeable batteries but have found that the fan would not operate even with 4 new AA batteries installed after the USB port broke.I’ve attached some photos of the USB ports, both of the broken port and of the replacement fan I received from the first fan.Upon looking at the port on the replacement fan I noticed it didn’t look like a common micro-USB port. The cable that comes with the fan is a standard micro-USB plug so I got to looking online and see that this fan uses the not so common micro-USB type A female rectangle receptacle. But it does accept the very common micro-USB type B male plug. So I don’t believe that’s an issue.In the photos you can see I used a flashlight to try and get a better picture of where the USB port became detached from the circuit board. It appears the support pins are on the edge of the circuit board.In looking around for a fan for our stroller and car seat this fan appears to have the best design and features with the fully adjustable fan speed either with USB or battery power. And the enclosed squirrel cage fan to keep fingers out is a big selling point.While using these we were very happy with the airflow provided, the battery life using a USB charging pack and the noise produced is acceptable. However as noted the amount of time we actually got to use these first two fans was very short and disappointing with the premium cost for these fans.I hope that my concern and criticism is noted as I’ve never had a USB port become detached from a circuit board before. However now, I have had two of them do that within days of each other on the same model of a product within two weeks from purchase. I tried responding to one of the many emails from Amazon marketplace asking to leave feedback or give them a chance to address my concerns before leaving feedback, after that went unanswered I emailed Cool On The Go customer service thru their website and have given that two weeks without a response either.If you want to just use AA batteries this is a really good fan with average battery life. If you are like us and want to use the USB power input I’m not sure if this is the best product out there.

This is a long review, but please read this to see the unbelievable customer service I received from the owner of this company.I ordered this item & the charger, I thought I was buying them from the same place but it was shipped from 2 different places, the machine from the Manufacturing company & the charger and batteries from someplace on Amazon. When I received my package it was wrapped "we care bag" from the post office with a note saying they were sorry for the issues with my package, the package was empty, no batteries. I emailed the company that manufactured the device to find out what I needed to do to get the batteries resent. I sent an email explaining what happened, I figured I would get an automated email, but to my surprise, the founder and designer of this product called me himself. The man who started this company CALLED ME.....I'm still amazed that he took the time to call me over a set of batteries. In this computer run world you just don't get personalized customer service anymore. When he called he said that he couldn't find the order for the batteries/charger, that's when we figured out I was dealing with another company, but instead of saying sorry you'll have to call the other company, he said he would send me the missing batteries and I received those just days later. In this day and age no-one cares about giving personalized service, this company is the exception, what an amazing experience!!Now on to the review: The fan is well built, sturdy and beneficial!! There are several speeds so you can determine how much air you need and on all of the speeds there is a constant steady stream of cool air. There are several other features that put this cooling devise way above the others. It comes with the lanyard and clip so there are numerous places you can clip the fan to that make it very convenient. There are also several add-ons that you can purchase to make it even better, rechargeable batteries and charger and a flexible arm that gives you even more ways to use this fan. If you are researching fans, this should be the ones that you buy, everything about this transaction was awesome!!

I bought this fan because the call center where I worked would not let us have anything but a battery powered fan. We weren't allowed to plug them in to an outlet or a USB port. And, the room temperature was always either too warm or too cold. I was concerned about a fan that would make too much noise and interfere with my ability to hear customers via my headset. That's where this little phone really shines. It has a rheostat control, so it can operate real low and several levels in between before reaching the highest setting. If I positioned the fan about 2 feet from me, it never posed a problem for me while on the phone--even on the highest setting.Another feature I love about it is so adjustable to sit flat on my desk at many different angles.In its folded position, the fan is 6" long x 4.25" wide. It does have a built-in narrow U-shaped clip for a quick and easy attachment to a strap for your waist, shoulder or arm. It requires 4 AA batteries (not included) and can be plugged into a USB port. If you had a portable USB charger, you could use that in lieu of the batteries.I'm well pleased with my purchase and highly recommend it for indoor or outdoor use!

We have bought many of these. They are the BEST portable fan! So high powered and good battery life! We wear them at Disney and in other hot places. The only way to survive the humidity! I run it all day blowing cold air in my face! We get so many compliments. I have also used with rechargeable batteries, the clip on arm in the stroller, propped up, etc.
