Transformers Generations Combiner Wars Deluxe Class Protectobot Blades Figure

As a HUGE Transformers fan dating back to when they were 1st awakened by the eruption of Mt. St. Helena on the Ark in 1984... the Generations and now the Combiner Wars lines are the best thing since sliced bread. The individual robots have superb detail and some pretty nice articulation. But the quality of the pieces REALLY come out when they are all united into the big boys. Superion, Defensor, Menasor, Ultimate Optimus and Devastator so far. NONE have been a disappointment. BE SURE TO SHOP AROUND THOUGH. There are some sellers who are hoping to capitalize on those who don't know what they're doing by trying to sell the individual teams in complete packages for $50 more than they are if bought separate. There are also sellers asking $80 for a $15-20 toy. BEWARE OF THE OVERPRICED SELLERS!!!! These are the sellers who clear out the shelves at the local stores forcing us to have to purchase online. Let's ALL do our part to ensure that these individuals get stuck with a MASSIVE inventory of toys that they can't get rid of so the shady practices will stop. Legends Class: $9 is a good average, $15 is pushing it Deluxe Class: $5-20 is a good average, $25 is pushing it Voyager Class: $25-30 is good average, $35 & up is ridiculous Leader Class: $40-50 is good average, $55 & up is ridiculous

My favorite Combiner Wars deluxe by far. Blades makes a great robot; the head is great, the proportions are fun, and even with the rotor blades he poses very well. He's a very angry little rescue helicopter with all his weaponry, but that fits the character well. His legs are a tiny bit loose, but I have heard that quality control really varies on this guy. The helicopter mode does well by me. It is very solid, avoids looking like a folded up robot as best it can, and evokes a decent little helicopter. The paint and detailing throughout are very nice. Personally I feel that he makes a really good arm for Defensor. He's a very thin contrast to Rook as an arm, but I find that to be rather neat for a combiner. This mold may have a good number of uses, but there is a pretty obvious reason.

This is a great toy to have a stand alone, or to also add with the other 4 combiner wars set to make one big transformer. I got this for my son as a gift, and he absolutely loves it! It keeps him busy for a few hours, which is nice.The pieces are easy to maneuver, and although it comes with an instruction booklet, my son was able to transform it. He's played with other transformers in the past, so he is very familiar with how transformers works. I got the other 4 combiner wars, which is really cool when they added up to make one big transformer toy!

Quality of transformers has definitely gone down since the 80's in both plastic quality and design. The combiner wars characters are definitely and indication of that. There is no heft to the figures, the plastic feels almost what the dollar store knock offs are made of. If I had not known these were Hasbro, I would have sworn they were knock offs just from the feel of the plastic alone. If the plastic survives 30 years like my original 80's TFs for my kids, I will be surprised. I know the original transformers were never expected to last 30 years as they were children's toys, the fact is they have and the plastic still feels about as good today as the day they were opened. These I do not believe will though time will tell. The one good thing I can say is that even with everything I stated above, my kids do like them and since that is the target audience, I am only removing 1 star for my impressions.

These are a great addition to my collection. I'm nearly caught up with all the Combiner Wars items thus far (I just need a few more). I have been a fan of Transformers since they originally came onto the scene in 1984. I had a small lot as a child and although I sold them all but three in the mid-90s, I've managed to rebuild my original lot - and over-quadruple it - since 2013. I originally had 35 and now I have about 150 G1s. I never cared much for the subsequent Transformers lines...that is until the Generations and Combiner Wars were released. It's like buying the original G1s all over again, but they're just more advanced and detailed. I've got all my CW items MISB and look great for display.

This is an awesome design for the combiner helicopters. Great figure in all modes. Terrific articulation. Color scheme as well. I hope they use this model for the Combaticon Vortex if they bring them back. Great for collectors.

Muy buenas figuras de colección para ser juguetes, de gran calidad en material y muy entretenidas en su premisa de transformarlas. Solía comprarselas a mi ahora exnovio, pero siempre me asombró lo bien hechas que están, el nivel de detalle y calidad que tienen.
