Nice little gouge. Use to clean up tight areas on larger bowls.

I found it hilarious that the tool came with a couple of band-aides and a brief guide telling you to be careful with pictures of male model hands that have never touched anything harder than a female model in all their lives.

As someone who carved mahogany full time, this chisel is nice looking, and worked ok working by hand on soft woods like fir, it is not suitable for use with a mallet on hardwoods. I tried to chisel an overgrown root growing over the sidewalk using a mallet, some kind of plane or sasifrass tree, and a big chunk broke off the edge, about 1/2 inch square chip. For this price you don't get durable steel, no fault of manufacturer, its an inexpensive chisel, you get what you pay for. Just don't expect it to cut maple or oak. Suitable for carpentry on fir or pine (avoid the knots).

Arrived very dull

Like other beavercraft products I have purchased, this one completely snapped after a few months of use. These gouges are not able to take a lot of pressure, which is sad because that's exactly how they're supposed to be used.
