Water Level Alert with Text Message and Email Notifications, Battery Powered with a Float Sensor

I spent some time looking for an affordable alert system for Sump pump levels to let me know if I run into a pump failure. I installed a battery backup system on the pump after it was installed but wanted to get an alert system that I could install easily and not have to spend a fortune on. This device is the best answer I came up with. It’s small, affordable and simple. The directions are pretty good but tech support is there to help you out in a pinch. I didn’t really need them but wanted to verify some things found. I read other posts about the device that helped me out but I will elaborate some more. When I installed the batteries and checked my wi-fi signal I saw nothing. I did notice a blue led flash every now and then. Not much mentioned on posts about that except someone mentioned that a flashing led indicates a possible unseated board. I removed the batteries and unseated the board located next to the batteries. Be careful and lift straight up make sure all leads are straight and reinstall with firm pressure, when I reinstalled the batteries a solid blue led was observed and when checking the wi-fi signal I saw what the Signal was found as described in the pamphlet. Setup from that point on was easy and testing the unit provided a very reliable and timely message receipt of alarms. Very happy with the end result and took less than half an hour to figure it all out. I wanted the detailed post to help others out enjoy what this has to offer. Up to 5 email addresses allowed but only 1 SMS phone alert.

After seeing different products from other vendors, including the need to subscribe for notifications, difficulty in setting up and getting alerts, etc., I was hesitant whether this one would meet my needs. The description about the product was very accurate and the product was exactly what I wanted. It was simple to install and setup. No subscription needed. As to how I am using it, I needed something that would tell me when the level of the water pool in my pool was below my desired depth. The video on the web site was super useful in showing how to switch from high water to low water mode. I found a spot around my pool where it would not accidentally get bumped. Under the railing of the steps into the pool turned out to be ideal. I enclosed the unit on three sides with a part of a plastic container. I mounted the top of the container to the coping around the pool which is always above water, with velcro. I ran the wire to a waterproof container thru a tiny hole near the top. That container sits on the pool deck under the railing. The wi-fi connectivity worked fine. The battery unit eliminated the need for any wires going across the deck. Too soon to know how long the batteries actually last, but I intend to really use this unit when I'm away so I can tell my house sitter when to add water to the pool, so battery life shouldn't be an issue. In the future if the control unit becomes waterproof that would make my setup even better.

I needed help with getting the alarm to communicate with my telephone and called support. Within minutes, my call was returned and I was assisted by a very knowledgeable employee who not only got the device to pair with my phone, but also gave suggestions as to how I could mount the sensor in my sump pump. I followed his advice and found it to be good. Last night, for the first time, the alarm sounded in both text and email forms on the phone. I went to check. All that was needed was to raise the sensor a bit. There was no problem. But I know for certain that the alarms work, so am resting comfortably in the knowledge that I know there is no problem, and will be alerted if there is one, no matter where I am at the time.

Purchased this unit after a few days of searching. Needed something for a high water indicator for a sump pit in my basement. Something simple and user friendly without spending a lot of money. Came across the Myspool water detector and gave it a shot. Set up was very easy. Had it hooked to my home wifi within minutes. Went to the website and set up my account and alert settings. I then mounted the float in my sump pump pit and tested functionality all in less than 10 minutes. The included instructions were short, accurate and to the point. So far so good, have tested it a few different times and received an alert in less than 20 seconds. Hoping for continued luck that a actual high water alarm never needs to be sent.

I've got a complicated system in my well house where a motorized ball valve opens and closes to keep several 300 gallon storage tanks full. If the valve should fail in the open position, however, the tanks will overflow and it might be days before I would notice the overflow! Since the storage tanks are after the water softener, that would mean thousands of gallons through the softener and onto the ground, and possibly burn out my well pump too. Not a highly likely scenario, but possible and expensive. The Myspool alert system was super simple to set up and test. I have it send alerts to my email but also as an SMS message to my phone, and I set up a special text alert tone for that number, and set it to play even if my phone is on silent or do not disturb. A few hours later I was working outside when suddenly that tone played on my phone. Yikes! Had the new valve failed already?! I ran up to the well house but it was all fine --at initial setup I had put it a little to close to the normal cut-off level, and since it is just dangling by a wire above the water in the tank, when the wire relaxed a bit after a few hours, the alert float touched the water and lifted, sending me the alert. I just reset the alert float a little higher, but was actually pleased to get that successful test of the system. If I have any problems with it down the line I'll update this review, but for now, five stars!

Great concept, and looks to be well made. However I spent a lot of time trying to configure it according to instructions, and was unable to get it to link up to my WiFi. I tried resetting it according to the procedures found in their web page faq’s and that to did not work.

two saves convinced me this is a great product. Once set up, all it takes is making sure the sensor float stays free and the unit has power. So, change the battery regularly, I do it very 6 months. Multiple applications possible. I have one in both sumps in the basement.

The first one I got was faulty but the company replaced it no charge right away. It works perfectly well. Super recommended. Easy to install and operate. Great value for money

Purchased two units and found one supplied battery to be faulty and leaking. Battery was not installed in the device so not a big deal if seller would just send a new battery. You would think this was a no brainerd but no response even after one week. Returned both units because no faith in customer service. Will purchase from another company.

Work as excepted. This float type is better then the contact plate as it won't be affected by humidity that can sometime cause false alarm with contact plate. So no false alarm with this one. The alert come in by text message (SMS) and by email literally about 10-30 second after the float sensor is triggered, its very fast! Also, no need for data on your cell phone to received the text message alert as it use SMS, and not internet based communication. Although, WiFi is required between your sensor and your house Internet, but basically everyone as that already anyway.
