Fellowes Binding Thermal Presentation Covers, 1 Inch, Black, 240 sheets (5257001)

These Thermal binding covers produce first class professional results withj my Felows thermal binder. Available in many different thicknesses (I have them all), You can also cut them down if you need to bind a small selfd made Diary or Pocket Book for note taking etc.

These binders are solid and work well for putting board books together. Sometimes there is a loose sheet but usually because we forgot to run it twice through the heat binder.

Whether the thermal machine is not heating enough or the glue of the covers might be insufficient or of inferior quality, the unfortunate fact is it does not hold the pages well. In fairness, a few pages do hold together, but after a few days many of the pages separate. I tried heating it for a minute more than recommended and adhered carefully to the instructions with respect to size of covers and pages etc but still it failed miserably. Did what had to do ... no complaints

I thought it would be some decent cover for diy book projects. But it is actually a transparent plastic cover glued to a piece of black paper with some thermal glue on the binding edge. $2.4 each, ouch! This product can be replaced by cabinet folding hangers plus thermal glue.

In July, I bought Fellowes Binding Thermal Presentation Covers, 1 Inch, Black, 240 sheets. I removed two covers, leaving the remaining in the original box. Two weeks later, several covers had could not be used because they had fused. Today, six months after buying, the remaining covers have completely fallen apart. I wish Amazon had a negative rating.

I'm sure it is a great product, but it is LEGAL size. One would assume that products sold in South Africa are of South African standard, A4. First instincts are not to check if the office equipment and consumables are legal size.

It is not mentioned in the description that these are not A4 size but Letter size which is standard paper size in North America not UK. I will have to return these as I have no letter sized paper. Quality looks acceptable otherwise but as I have not bound anything with them I cannot comment any further on this aspect. Later addition: I have now examined the covers more closely and they are very average quality and not particularly robust. All my other binder covers, for much smaller amounts of paper, seem of better quality.

Despite using Fellowes brand binders and following recommended guidelines this machine was not able to bind properly and some pages were loose.

Las cubiertas funcionan muy bien, el encuadernado queda mucho mejor que con un engargolado tradicional. Hay que considerar que se necesita la máquina encuadernadora para usar estas cubiertas.

Beware the folders are letter size and not A4 as described . I had to return them
