I had this surface pro 4 for an embarrassing amount of time before I bought a case for it. Don’t be like me. This thing is life-changing. It doubles as a stand, so I never randomly scream in public spaces when the screen accidentally separates from the keyboard and falls backward anymore, because that no longer happens. If you set it up correctly (several of the negative reviewers clearly did not), all ports are right where they should be and easily accessible. It folds up easily without undoing the bottom straps, so I just leave it in this at all times now. If you travel like me, it’s super convenient and durable without looking ugly. It’s thin enough that it fits easily in my carry-on, but it isn’t at all flimsy. If I manage to destroy this thing somehow, or if I ever upgrade to a laptop that doesn’t fit this case, I’ll absolutely be ordering from this company again.

This is a good case so far. I have been carrying it in my backpack back and forth to college, so that means pulling it out and shoving it back in. I like it a lot but I have some concerns.The good: it is holding up to repeated packaging and unpacking, daily. The materials feel like they are durable and well built. The case fits perfectly on my tablet and even permits the keyboard to remain on the tablet when closed. The case is rigid but has padding and protects the tablet well. I like the look of it but if you don’t want a journal looking cover then there’s colors to pick from.The concerns: First, an my biggest complaint, the loop to hold the pen on the side is unprotected and the pen gets banged and twisted into all sorts of ways. The elastic doesn’t feel as if it will be durable enough for the long term. Besides my fear of losing the pen, the poor pen is just getting beaten up. I wish that the pen storage could have been tucked into the case. My other issue is just a minor annoyance for me. The case doesn’t allow for the whole thing to be flipped open to use as a tablet instead of a notebook. The keyboard will not flip around the back with the case on. I don’t use it the way often so that is not a big problem to me.Overall I am happy with the case and do recommend it.
