Microbes in the form of bacteria and fungus are present in all diesel fuels. Long periods of fuel storage can create ideal opportunities for microbes to grow in fuel tanks. The first indication of microbial contamination is mucous-like accumulations on fuel-filters and increased requirements for fuel-filter replacement. Microbes can only be removed from the fuel system by use of a diesel fuel biocide.

Great product!
This stuff works! Fought algae in the tanks in my peterbilt 379 for two years probably bought enough fuel filters to pay for new tanks. Used kill'em fuel biocide with no results and kill'em cannot be used below freezing. I was changing fuel filters every time I filled my tanks. I have changed one filter since using diesel kleen probably got the last of the gunk out of my tanks because that filter was plugged! I recommend this product! fill your tanks to the brim and use the shock treatment. Run them down as close to empty as you dare to get the gunk out then fill them to the brim and shock 'em again just to make sure. Very clear mixing ratios on the bottle. One bottle will get the job done with plenty extra to spare. I've got the big 150 gallon tanks on my truck well worth the money!

Good product.
My husband bought some diesel fuel additive at a local store and it froze this winter. This did not freeze, which impressed my husband. Good product.
