I really like the 4-jaw blade holder (compared to the X-acto 2-jaw version). But the tightening mechanism that sits BEHIND your hand with its hexagonal shape that prevents the knife from rolling around (or off) your work surface has clinched the deal for me. That you also get real safety caps (as opposed to X-acto's plastic wrap around the blade) is a further bonus.These came in blister packaging, and came through the USPS like a champ--and in good time as well. All in all, a bargain for a well-thought-out tool.

A little imagination and an Excel hobby knife, anything can happen. Built for my ON30 trains out of foam board , card board and a few purchased windows.The best thing about this brand is it has flat spots on the end so the knife does not roll off the work area like some of the other brands. Plus the soft grip sides help it stay put in your hand when cutting.

Came cross this brand hobby knife when I was on YouTube and decided to give a try since the price is extremely reasonable. I owned few different style of X-acto hobby knife and common issue were hard to hold for long periods and the blades start moving around no matter how tight I twisted. I been used it for the past couple day w/o any expectation, but BOY! I am impressed. This is very easy to hold for long period of time and it won’t roll off the table and I don’t even have to tight up the blade even once. It’s definitely great buy and I will recommend to any one looking for great value hobby knife.

Haven't found a drawback to this tool

This package is for gifts, but I have used their products before and haven't had any casualties, except maybe scraping the styrene a bit too much.

I like the way that blades are installed with a twist from the end of the knife. I build models, primarily airplanes.

Excellent knives, love the grip - much more comfortable.
